Netizens were frequently discussing how the makers are going to bring a new side of Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh, where they would be doing a lot of action on screen. Bobby Deol has been cast as the main villain of the spy action drama.

Who is the highest-paid actor in Alpha?

Alpha is going to be the seventh entry of the YRF Spy Universe. It marks the first film of Alia Bhatt with Yash Raj Films. Online sources have claimed that the actress is currently the highest-paid among the other cast members of the film. The reason for the same is believed to be Alia’s stardom in today’s time, which she has established with her performance in films like Student of the Year, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, and more.

While the makers have not revealed much about her salary, different figures have been quoted by various outlets. While a few have mentioned that it is between Rs. 12-15 crores, others have stated that she has reportedly received Rs. 25 crores. Another source also said that it is between Rs. 25-30 crores.

Alpha features three more actors playing the lead roles

Apart from Alia Bhatt, Alpha has Sharvari Wagh, who also portrays the lead. As mentioned, Bobby Deol plays the main villain, followed by Anil Kapoor, who will play an important role. The movie’s budget is reported to be Rs. 80 crores. Among the other three leads, Sharvari has reportedly been paid Rs. 3 crores. Furthermore, Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor have charged Rs. 6 crores for their appearance. The figures are yet to be confirmed.

Release date and other details about Alpha

Alpha has witnessed multiple delays from its original release date, which was in Christmas 2025. However, the movie was shifted to July 10, 2026, as confirmed a few months ago in March 2026. It was later shifted to July 3, 2026. Alpha has been directed by Shiv Rawail, who has worked with Yash Raj Films for a long time. His first project as a director was The Railway Men, which came out on Netflix in 2023. Moreover, he has been an assistant director in other movies like Dhoom 3, Fan, and Befikre.

Certain reports have claimed that Hrithik Roshan might return as 'Kabir' in Alpha. Apart from that, another report stated that Alpha will mark the last film for Bobby Deol as a villain. However, the rumours have not been confirmed by the producers so far. Notably, a glimpse of Bobby Deol and the possible storyline for Alpha was revealed in the mid-credits scene of War 2, which was released in 2025.

YRF Spy Universe was originally launched in 2023 with Pathaan. The story of the blockbuster action-drama was linked to Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, and War, leading to cameo appearances from the superstars playing the lead roles.
