And looks like the fun is not going to end anytime soon, last night on December 22, 2018, Alka Yagnik’s hosted a grand wedding reception for daughter, Syesha Kapoor who tied the knot with fiancé, Amit Desai on December 12, 2018. The gala night was a star-studded affair as several celebrities came to wish the newlyweds. The new bride, Syesha looked gorgeous in Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s ensemble, while the groom, Amit chose a suit for the occasion. On the other hand, Alka ji looked gorgeous as ever in a blue cape ensemble. The celebrations were attended by legendary actor, Govinda who attended the function with wife Sunita. Alka Yagnik got married to Neeraj Kapoor in February 1989 and the same year their little daughter, Syesha Kapoor made an entry to their world. The singer used to stay in Mumbai because of professional commitments, Neeraj lived in Shillong because of which Syesha stayed with her mom. It was in the year 2017 when Syesha got engaged to her beau, Amit Desai who turned into her happily ever after.
Syesha shared some pictures from her engagement nigh with her now husband, and sweetly captioned it, “Now I can finally say, #mine! 25-12-2017.” Syesha’s would-be-hubby, Amit posted pictures with both their families on his Instagram account. Sharing a picture with his lady-love, Amit wrote, "How can one not fall in love with that?" After a year of courtship period, the two tied the knot this year on December 12, 2018. She looked gorgeous in a beautiful traditional red ensemble, on the other hand, Amit donned an ivory sherwani. Syesha and Amit took to their Instagram handle to share their wedding pictures. The two looked so good together but their pre-wedding festivities were even more fun. Earlier, Syesha Kapoor was reportedly dating Indian Idol fame, Rahul Vaidya but the latter dismissed the rumours and had stated, “I am following a strict diet these days and since she is a restaurateur, she tells me how to go about it. That’s why we end up meeting often. I am not dating her.”
Alka Yagnik who was in a long distance wedding with Neeraj Kapoor shared an interview all that can take a toll on the relationship and the key which made their relationship strong. She said, “The basic bond was always there. I’ll not lie and say that I’ve never got attracted to people. But I didn’t get carried away. My values are strong. I also believe one’s dignity lies in one’s hands. I don’t believe in frivolous behaviour. Our marriage can be summed up in the U2 song ‘Can’t live with or without you’.
