Neetu Kapoor went for a lunch date with her bahu, Alia Bhatt and her family. We spotted the Bhatt ladies, Soni Razdan and Shaheen Bhatt, coming out of a restaurant along with Neetu Kapoor. However, we loved how Alia cutely helped them navigate their way to the car amidst a huge crowd. Not only this, before saying bye, Neetu Kapoor showered extra love on her bahu, Alia, which was recorded by paps, and netizens think it is a 'damage-control'.
Recently, a Reddit user took to the discussion platform and shared Neetu and Alia's PDA video. In the clip, the ladies stepped out of the restaurant and before heading for the car, Neetu Kapoor held Alia's cheeks while the latter pouted. They looked adorable together, but Alia looked a little baffled. However, she tried her best to smile it off. Alia was decked up in casual ensemble while Neetu Kapoor was donning a white-hued oversized shirt.

As soon as the video was uploaded, netizens flooded the comments section. One user wrote, "Kudos to Alia for keeping Neethu Tailor happy.." Another one commented, "Was she checking if she had wiped her lipstick off?" One netizens also called it a 'damage control', and wrote, "Ahem ahem damage control which we all knew was on our way Neetu managed to get what she wanted for her son."
For the unversed, a few days ago, a Redditor dropped a video of Ranbir Kapoor on Simi Garewal's show, Simi Selects India's Most Desirable. In the video, Neetu Kapoor gave a video message wherein she advised Ranbir that there are two kinds of girls — one who comes with scissors and one who comes with needles. She added that the first one comes to break the family while the latter mends the family needle. She was quoted as saying:
"There are two kinds of girls, one who comes with scissors, and one who comes with needle. Scissors is the one who breaks the family or jo needle ke sath aati hai that kind off mends the family together, makes sure the family stays together. And that's the girl I would like."
As soon as the video was posted, netizens flooded the comments section. One user wrote, "Aurat hi Aurat ki sabse badi Dushman wala example he yeh." Another commented, "The most nonsensical take I’ve ever heard… see Sharmila Tagore's interview where she says that the daughter-in-law is new and the onus lies with the family to make her feel welcome… not the other way around." One netizens also noticed Ranbir's awkwardness in the end.

Later, netizens claimed that Neetu Kapoor's advice was inspired by her own mother-in-law, Krishna Raj's comment. Once Amitabh Bachchan revealed Krishna Raj's advice to the new brides and how she would ask them whether they want to carry scissors or needles to their husband's home. Quoting her, Amitabh had written in his blog:
"Her famous line to brides to be: Jab pati ke ghar, bahu bankar jana, to yeh soch lena ki tum kainchi lekar jana chahti ho ya bunai ke aujaar. When you shall go as a bride in your husband’s home, you must decide whether you want to carry scissors with you or a pair of knitting needles! Scissors symbolising the cutting of relations in the new home and family; knitting needles, to knit the family together."
