However, in the midst of all the attention and love, that couple was receiving, Alia got furious after a media publication reported something about her return from the UK and speculated about the actress going to take a maternity break. For the unversed, it was on June 27, 2022, when Alia Bhatt had taken to her Instagram handle and had uploaded two pictures to announce her pregnancy with Ranbir Kapoor. In the first picture, the much-in-love couple could be spotted looking towards the monitor of an ultrasound machine, and it was the cute smile on Alia's face that had won everyone's hearts. However, in the second picture, we could spot a lion tribe as Alia compared her family-to-be with them, and it speaks volumes of their love for each other. Although Alia hadn't revealed her due date but she had penned a one-liner in the caption, and it could be read as:
"Our baby…. coming soon."

On June 28, 2022, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram stories and shared a screengrab of a news publication's Instagram post after it hurt the sentiments of the Raazi actress. In the picture, the publication speculated that Ranbir Kapoor might fly to the UK in order to bring his pregnant wife, Alia back to Mumbai. Further, in the publication's post, it was mentioned that Alia would soon take a gap from her professional commitments once she's back in the city. Well, the reports made Alia furious, and she reacted to them with a fiery note. From pointing at the patriarchal world that we still live into reminding the publication that she doesn't need someone to pick her up, Alia gave a befitting reply to the report. Her note atop the story can be read as:
"Meanwhile we still live in some peoples head, we still live in some patriarchal world…fyi. Nothing has gotten delayed!!!!!! No one needs to PICK anyone up. I am a woman not a parcel!!!!! A few moments back, Alia Bhatt took to her IG stories and shared a beautiful picture with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and it was from one of their wedding festivities. In the pictures, Alia and Ranbir can be spotted sitting on the ground, and flower petals are being guided towards the couple. The actress shared this picture in which she and Ranbir can be seen folding hands in order to thank everyone for their warm wishes and congratulatory messages for their pregnancy. Alia's message atop the picture can be read as:
"Overwhelmed with all the love. I have tried to read everyone's messages and good wishes and all I want to say is , it truly feels so special to celebrate such a big moment of our lives with all the love and blessings. Thank you to every single one of you."

According to a report in Filmfare, Ranbir Kapoor, who is currently in Spain, was reportedly spotted shopping for some baby clothes. After his wife, Alia Bhatt had announced her pregnancy on social media. The father-to-be was spotted buying some baby clothes. Apart from this, the report had further suggested that he had already started shopping for his and Alia's first baby. For the unversed, Ranbir is currently shooting in Spain with the ever-so-talented actress, Shraddha Kapoor, in popular director, Luv Ranjan's untitled film that is a romantic comedy.
