Bollywood actress, Alia Bhatt always finds one or the other reason to stay in the news. The actress, who recently created a stir on social media with her lipstick remark, has yet again irked the netizens with her illogical statements. For the unversed, Alia Bhatt tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor on April 14, 2022, in an intimate wedding while she was pregnant with their first child. However, now she compared her wedding outfit with other brides and slammed them for wearing heavy lehengas.
Recently, a Reddit user shared a video of Alia Bhatt from the promotions of her recently-released movie, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The video featured a few scenes from the song, Kudmayi, wherein Alia and her co-star, Ranveer Singh, got married in reel life. For the unversed, the scene was shot a few days after Alia Bhatt's real-life wedding with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. Sharing the video, the user penned:
"Why do brides do this to themselves?!( why they don't wear simple saree like alia did whyyyyy)."

In the video, Alia Bhatt was dressed in a beautiful chiffon saree as she talked about her bridal outfit in the movie. The actress mentioned that she was wearing a 3000 kg lehenga in the song, Kudmayi, and questioned why brides do that to themselves. She was heard saying:
"Kudmayi was shot right after my wedding, and I think I was wearing a 3000 kg lehenga because it was really heavy. I had to walk like a dream. I was like why do brides do that to themselves? Like why? But I did it for the movies."
After the video surfaced on the internet, Alia Bhatt received a huge backlash for her statements. The social media users flooded the post's comment section, slamming the actress for blurting out illogical statements. While some pointed out how Alia exaggerated the fact that she donned a 3000 kg heavy lehenga in the movie, others trolled her for her weird flex about her real-life wedding look. Meanwhile, some also mentioned that Alia Bhatt has started speaking in a very annoying manner.

For her big day, Alia Bhatt looked gorgeous in a beautiful ivory-coloured saree from the shelves of the designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Her organza saree had tilla work embroidery all over it, and the handwoven tissue veil added stars to its look. To accentuate her look, the actress opted for a matching blouse. Alia completed her bridal look with Sabyasachi jewellery, featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor looked dapper in a silk sherwani featuring intricate embroidery and uncut diamond buttons.
