Indian actor and stand-up comedian, Ali Asgar has appeared in many films and television shows. In the initial stage of his career, Ali was seen in more serious roles in shows like Neev, Itihaas, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Kutumb and many more. However, his role as ‘Dadi’ in the popular show, Comedy Nights With Kapil had caught all the attention.
Dressed in salwar suit with his perfect comic timings, Ali had won millions of hearts as he made everyone laugh with his antics as 'Dadi'. Ali was also seen as ‘Nani’ in The Kapil Sharma Show. It has been five years since Ali had parted ways with the hit comedy show, The Kapil Sharma Show. In a recent interaction, Ali reveals the reason behind quitting the show.

Ali Asgar’s fans miss seeing the versatile actor on the popular comedy show. In an interview with News18, when asked whether he is open to reuniting with Kapil and making a comeback on the show, the actor revealed:
“You never know honestly. You can’t predict. Maine kabhi socha nahi tha ke main nahi kar raha rahunga. Toh abhi bhi main nahi bol sakta ke main karunga ya nahi. It depends on the situation.”
In the same interview, Ali revealed having no communication with Kapil Sharma after the show. Speaking about the same and calling it a matter of miscommunication, he stated:
“Unfortunately what has happened is, after the incident (him quitting the show), there has been no communication. There was a miscommunication, kabhi we missed each others’ call aur humari mulakat kahi pe nahi ho payi so abhi filhaal toh nahi bol sakta ke main karunga ya nahi karunga.”
Going further in the interview, Ali Asgar shared the reason behind quitting the show. In his words:
“My difference was regarding the character, the creativeness. Iske ilawa aur koi baat nahi. Aisi koi bahut badi wajah nahi hai ke main nahi kar raha hoon aur main nahi karunga. The day something good comes up, we might be together again. Ye toh waqt hi batayega.”

For the unversed, Ali Asgar had got married to the love of his life, Siddika Asgar in 2005, and together, they are proud parents to two kids, Ada Asgar and Nuyaan Asgar. The actor, who recently got eliminated from the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 10, got emotional in the family special episode. In the episode, Ali got a video message from his kids, in which they poured their hearts out while appreciating their father’s efforts. His daughter could be heard saying that laughing at oneself is not everyone’s cup of tea, but she is proud of her dad.
On the work front, Ali was last seen in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10!
