Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor share a cordial bond with each other and have often starred opposite each other in various films. The duo’s chemistry in Aitraaz, Bewafaa, Kambakkht Ishq, Tashan and Good Newwz has won many hearts. However, Akshay Kumar has also worked with Kareena’s sister, Karisma Kapoor.
In a throwback interview in 2019, Akshay Kumar talked about working with both the Kapoor sisters. He also recalled how he had played with Kareena when she was young while working with Karisma. In his words:
“When I was working with Karisma Kapoor back in the day, Kareena was so young that I would lift her up and play with her. And today she is my heroine!”

Akshay Kumar’s statement made its way to a Reddit thread and many social media users trolled the actor for his statement. One of the users wrote, “Wtf is wrong with him? I am not one to harshly criticize the age gap but these kind of statements are just creepy”, while another commented, “Omg i am getting creepy feeling after reading this. Shukar hai isne ye nahi kaha inke bachon k sath b film karunga.”
In an earlier conversation with Akshay Kumaar’s wife, Twinkle Khanna on her Tweak India platform, Kareena talked about feeling weird romancing Akshay Kumar. Revealing how she used to visit Akshay on the sets in her school uniform, Kareena said:
“I am romancing all of Lolo's (Karisma) co-stars, it's so weird. (During) Akshay's first shot, I was in my school uniform. It's been such a long time, it just shows how amazing he is rather than me.”

Talking about Akshay Kumar and Karisma Kapoor’s pairing, the duo was seen together for the first time in the 1992 film, Deedar. Akshay and Karisma were later seen together in movies like Suhaag, Lahu Ke Do Rang, Jaanwar and Haan Maine Bhi Pyaar Kiya.
Akshay Kumar began his acting career in 1991 with the film, Saugandh, but it was the action thriller film, Khiladi, which established him as a star. With some amazing films to his credit, Akshay is one of the most bankable actors in Bollywood. Talking about his personal life, Akshay fell in love with actress, Twinkle Khanna and the duo got married in 2001 and are now parents to two adorable kids, Aarav and Nitara.
