All the Bollywood buffs, who keep themselves updated on celebrity couples, know that Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna had a private marriage ceremony. The duo had tied the knot in 2001 in a hush-hush ceremony. It's been 20 years of marital bliss for Akshay and Twinkle. However, love had blossomed between the two when they had met during a shoot for a magazine.

While Akshay had once mentioned falling in love at the first sight, he had got the reciprocation from Twinkle Khanna, while they were shooting for the movie, International Khiladi. Though they had speculated it to be a fling that would wear off with time, it only grew stronger and the two decided to get hitched. Their wedding was an intimate affair with only selected people in attendance.
Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna have made it to the headlines this time as some rare and unseen pictures from their wedding have gone viral on the internet. In the photos, the couple can be seen busy with the festivities as they followed the rituals. We could also spot the duo dancing their hearts out with their friends. The pictures speak volumes about their relationship as it was love, that reflected in their eyes.
During his interview on Koffee With Karan, Akshay had revealed that when Mela was about to release, Twinkle was very positive about the movie's performance at the box office. However, Twinkle had said that if the movie fails at the box office, she would marry Akshay. The film tanked and the rest is history! They had gotten married at their friend, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla's residence. In their married journey, the couple was blessed with two children, a son, Aarav and a daughter, Nitara.

Akshay and Twinkle had celebrated their 20 years of togetherness on January 17, 2021. Twinkle Khanna had reposted a picture shared by her hubby, Akshay Kumar. She had captioned the picture as "You are the beauty and the brawn in this partnership and I can’t even say I am the brain because you are smarter than me. We don’t need each other to be complete( that’s just a cliche from soppy ballads) but we want to have the other one around always and that is perhaps the only way it is meant to be. Happy Anniversary Mr K."
On the other hand, Twinkle Khanna's doting husband, Akshay Kumar had taken to his IG handle to wish his wifey on their anniversary. He wrote, "The surest I’ve ever been of a partnership...twenty years of togetherness and you still make my heart flutter and sometimes even drive me up the wall but then again I wouldn’t have it any other way coz a smile is never far when you are near. Happy anniversary Tina."
