It seems like yesterday when everyone was happily admiring what a cute looking couple Nagarjuna’s son, Akhil Akkineni and granddaughter of business tycoon GVK Reddy, Shriya Bhupal made.
The couple who got engaged in December 2016 were to have a big fat Italy wedding in May 2017. Apparently, Shriya and Akhil were in a steady relationship for about two years after which they decided to officialise their companionship.

But unfortunately, after three months of their engagement, news of Akhil and Shriya’s marriage being called off spread everywhere. Since then, the reason behind the calling off of the wedding has been widely speculated.
Some said the reason had something to do with asset sharing between the families, some said that Akhil was not giving enough time to Shriya, and some believe that the couple had an enormous fight and fallen out of love. Till date, no one knows what caused a rift between Akhil and Shriya, and the two big influential families.

Despite several theories, the reason that everyone is agreeing to believe is the fight that happened between Akhil and Shriya at the Hyderabad airport. After the wedding was called off, Shriya headed to the United States while Akhil went to Goa.
Now, the latest news about the exes is that Shriya Bhupal is set to marry an NRI soon. This sounds pretty shocking and abrupt but if reports are to be believed, Shriya’s family has found a match for her and Shriya has also agreed for the marriage. It is an arranged marriage and is set to take place soon.
