Wishing all her fans on behalf of the Akkineni family, Samantha had written, “Our family, our health, our friends and the grace of God that never ends.. blessed. Thankful for the life I chose and the life that chose me Happy Diwali from our family to yours @chayakkineni @akkineniakhil @akkineniamala.” The picture had Samantha and her hubby, Chaitanya pose with mother and father-in-law, Nagarjuna and Amala and her brother-in-law, Akhil.
Now for the picture, the youngest of the family, Akhil Akkineni took to Instagram and posted a fun family picture of the family, comprising of his father, Nagarjuna, half-brother, Chaitanya Akkineni and himself, along with an array of family members who were all smiles for the camera. The occasion being, one of his brothers, Aditya getting married and the family welcoming a new member in their family. Sharing the picture, Akhil wrote, "And my brother Aditya gets hitched! Congratulations brother and welcome to the family Aishwarya. Always the best time when we are all together. #theakkinenis #familytime." As many of you might still be looking, only Samantha Akkineni was missing from the family picture, probably due to work commitments.
A day prior to the same, Akhil Akkineni had posted a picture of the awesome-threesome superstar male-Akkineni clan as they posed inside a plane. Akhil stood between father, Nagarjuna and half-brother, Chay as they posed with a wide smile on their faces. He had captioned the picture as "With my Main Men @chayakkineni and daddy cool #chennaibound!" On August 29, 2019, Nagarjuna had turned 60 and for the same, his sons, Chaitanya Akkineni, Akhil Akkineni and the former’s wife, Samantha Akkineni had jetted off to Ibiza, to give the eldest Akkineni, a surprise to remember. An India Today report had it that the younger lot of Akkinenis’ were to host a private party for the star. It was also stated in the report that their’s would be a week-long celebration on the occasion of Nagarjuna’s birthday. In the similar lines, Samantha had taken to Instagram and had posted the first-ever, full family glimpse, comprising of herself, hubby, Chaitanya, father-in-law, Nagarjuna, Chay's step-mother, Amala Akkineni and Chay’s half-brother, Akhil Akkineni from their holiday. Sharing the picture, she had written, “Nag mama says “Thank you for all the love... always and forever… your blessings matter the most.””
Now a little about Akhil Akkineni, the 25-year-old actor is Nagarjuna's son from his second marriage with Amala Akkineni. A budding star and having built a massive female fan following for himself, a zillion hearts were shattered when a then 22-year-old Akhil had decided to get married to his longtime sweetheart, fashion designer, Shriya Bhupal. In fact, his brother, Chay had shared that his brother intends to get married even before he gets married to Samantha. In a throwback interview with The Hans India, Chay had shared, "Akhil news has come as a shock to both me and dad. It takes guts to marry at such a young age but he is happy about it. He will get married before me." But as they say, fate had other plans for the now ex-couple. While Shriya is now happily married, Akhil has been concentrating on his career. Now talking about Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Akkineni, the latter had once revealed if her life has changed after her marriage. Speaking about the same in an interview with Film Companion, the doting wife had shared, “Chay and I have a very normal approach to things; from writing our provision list to deciding the menu for dinner, to seeing if everything is there at home. Day-to-day activities are organised by us. I like to do that at home."
Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya had dated for over 8 years and had then tied the nuptial bond in 2017. In an interview on the Famously Filmfare, Samantha had talked about the times when things didn’t work out between them. The actress from Tollywood was quoted as saying, “It took us eight years to be at the same point. Because there were times when I really liked him, and he was not in that space. And there were times when we wanted to work it out, but external factors. It took us a very long time to be in the same space.”
