Akansha Ranjan Kapoor is hogging the limelight for her honest confession about freezing eggs at 32. The American actress made her film debut with the Hindi movie, Guilty, starring Kiara Advani in the lead role. Akansha has grabbed a lot of attention for her surname Kapoor, and many people assumed that she might be connected to the popular Kapoor family. However, the truth is, Akansha is not part of the Kapoor clan. During a recent conversation, Akansha opened up about challenges after freezing her eggs.
Akansha Ranjan Kapoor had frozen her eggs in March 2026. Recently, she appeared on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, All About Her. She revealed why she chose to freeze her eggs at 32. Akansha shared that a lot of people around her were getting pregnant, who suggested that she get an Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH) test done. The AMH test is performed to check levels of egg count. Her result was lower than expected for her age. And thus, she made the decision to freeze her eggs. Akansha was quoted as saying:
"I had lots of people around me who were getting pregnant. Everyone started doing tests, and they were like, 'You should get your AMH done.' So I got my AMH done, and I am at that end of the spectrum where I am very particular about what goes inside my body-what I eat, drink and how much sleep I get. My AMH was pretty low for my age. It wasn't a fear; it was an understanding that it is something I need to do for my future self. And you just have to deal with it. It is kind of an insurance, I guess."

During the same conversation, Akansha opened up about experiencing much pain after freezing her eggs. The Guilty actress stated that she couldn’t stand straight and felt a big balloon inside her. For 2 to 3 days, she couldn’t even walk. Akansha highlighted that she felt a constant discomfort, which was neither pain nor like period cramps. She was quoted as saying:
"Physically, I was in a lot of pain, which I don't think happens to everybody, but I was in a lot of pain. I couldn't stand straight because it just felt like there was a big balloon inside me. For 2 or 3 days, I couldn't even walk as I was in so much pain. I couldn't stand it. It's not a period cramp. It's not pain. It's just a discomfort, which is bloating, heaviness, like there's just a big balloon in my stomach and it'll burst any minute. So, I need to be like this, and also the hormones."

During the same conversation, the Guilty actress shared that she wished she had frozen her eggs earlier. She mentioned that eggs are healthier in the early or mid-twenties. Akansha highlighted that she thinks she is late for freezing her eggs. Earlier, in March 2026, she took to her Instagram handle and shared a long note by announcing that she had frozen her eggs. She stated that there were no plans about sharing the story, but somehow she felt it was right. She described a female body as extraordinary. She added that the last two weeks were quite tough as she had to go through a lot. An excerpt from her note can be read as:
"The female body is extraordinary. The last two weeks were... intense. Injecting myself with fat needles every day, hormones doing their thing, the bloating, the mood swings, the endless scans, the meds, the IV drip, and finally the surgery."
