However, one of the most controversial events from the show was Shreya Kalra exposing Akanksha’s bisexuality. For the unversed, Shreya was seen exposing Akanksha’s secret to co-contestant Sufi Motiwala as a retaliatory move after Akanksha filed a chargesheet against her in the game. Now, in an interview, Akanksha called Shreya 'the most evil person.'
Akanksha Chamola shares her disappointment over Shreya Kalra exposing her bisexuality
In an interview with CNN News18 Showsha, Akanksha shared that she was disappointed more than hurt. Earlier, in an episode of Lock Upp 2, Shreya claimed that Akanksha was bisexual and said that the revelation would cost her lifelines on the show. The revelation made Akanksha visibly emotional. According to Akanksha, Shreya became angry after being nominated and, because of that anger, revealed her secret. She was quoted as saying:
"More than hurt, I was very disappointed. She was the one who had come to me to become my friend, so I was not expecting it to go down this way. When you form a new relationship with someone, you don’t hold a lot of expectations from them. But just because she got angry that she got nominated, she revealed my secret. That’s not fair. For me, it was a feeling of disappointment more than hurt."
In the same interview, Akanksha mentioned that she does not consider what happened a betrayal because her friendship with Shreya was still in the early stages. They had only recently met and were still getting to know each other. Akanksha added that she was simply trying to see how their friendship would develop. In her words:
"I never felt betrayed as such because it was the initial phase of our friendship only. We weren’t that close as we had just met. We were just exploring where this relationship was going, so there was no betrayal. You don’t expect anyone to do this kind of thing to someone just to be on a game show. Shreya was the most evil person in the house. I still believe that. She is very mean."
Further, in the interview, Akanksha highlighted that the fallout between her and Shreya got even worse due to Shreya's contrasting traits inside and outside the show. According to Akanksha, Shreya used to tell all of them to be real to themselves, not be diplomatic and show their true selves. However, Shreya’s boyfriend used to tell Akanksha that Shreya is very much like her in real life and that they would be best friends.
Akanksha alleged that Shreya had been fake on the show, Lock Upp 2. While she preached to everyone, she herself carried a fake personality. Akanksha explained that she would never have exposed someone’s big secret on the show. In her words:
"Inside the house, she would tell all of us to be real to ourselves, not be diplomatic and show our true selves. However, her boyfriend said she isn’t the same as she acts in the show. This means that she was being fake on Lock Upp. She is preaching to everyone, but she herself has a fake personality. Just to win the show, she went to the extent of revealing my biggest secret. Chota mota secret hota toh fark bhi nahin padta mujhe, but this was a big one. I would never do that to anyone."
