It is said that there is no smoke without fire and Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan’s wedding announcement proves the same. For the last few months, there was a buzz that Aditya and Anushka will soon tie the knot, and now the couple has given an official confirmation. It is said that they had met each other at a family function and had hit it off instantly.
After rubbishing their wedding reports for a while, on November 17, 2021, Anushka Ranjan and Aditya Seal had exchanged the rings in a hush-hush ceremony. While Anushka had donned a gorgeous purple-hued glittery saree gown from designer, Amit Aggarwal, Aditya had looked dapper in a green-hued ensemble.

Now, in a conversation with Bombay Times, Aditya Seal and Anushka Ranjan shared that they will walk down the aisle on November 21, 2021, and it will be an intimate three-day wedding including sangeet, mehendi, and shaadi. Aditya and Anushka were in a relationship for the past four years and the actor had proposed to her for a wedding in Paris in October 2019. Talking about their bond, Aditya said:
“We connected very well in the first meeting itself, but I was hesitant to ask her out. I felt she was too cool for me. Gradually, I realised that Anushka is a very evolved lady, independent and has a deeper understanding of situations and people more than I do. She can get someone to open up easily, and I find that ability very heartwarming.”
Anushka Ranjan recalled the time when she and Aditya Seal were on the phase of ‘getting to know each other' and shared:
“My family members are extroverts and my parents are quite larger-than-life. Aditya and I have had different upbringings and while my family is flamboyant, his family is simple and soft-spoken and not flamboyant at all. But, when we started meeting regularly, he realised that we connected as people and we both genuinely liked each other. I have immense respect for Aditya because deep down in my heart, I realise that I have never loved so deeply.”

Talking about his and Anushka's wedding and if the feeling of getting married has sunk in yet, Aditya shared:
“It feels like I will move in with my girlfriend after a few days and embark on a new adventure. We wanted to get married sooner, but then we waited for the pandemic to get over. I used to live in Bandra earlier, but after my father passed away in the pandemic, I found an apartment in Anushka’s building, so my mother and I will be close to Anushka’s parents in Andheri.”
Anushka further added that she is not at all a fussy bride, who will worry about everything as she was never fond of big fat weddings. Sharing that her sister, Akansha Ranjan motivated her for the wedding, Anushka said:
“I have never wanted a big fat wedding, and I am happy we are having a small celebration with close friends. Also, I am not someone who will fuss over her lehenga or take days to decide on songs for my sangeet! In fact, I was not really thinking of marriage now, but my sister suggested that if not now, when? I come from a family background where my parents had never made it mandatory to get married at a certain age. It was all about work and doing what I like. The feeling of becoming a wife hasn’t sunk in yet, but I am happy that I will be with someone I have loved and known for a long time now and everyone around me is happy, too. That’s ideal.”
Sharing how their families gel with each other, Aditya mentioned that it will be the first big event in his family after the death of his father during the pandemic. Anushka talked about how her family is fond of the Student Of The Year 2 actor. She concluded:
“My mother (Anu Ranjan) feels that Aditya is her son and she can’t stop talking about him, while my father (Shashi Ranjan) is still portraying that since he is the girl’s father, he will take longer to love the son-in-law. It is quite a happy time when we all get together, and we can talk about anything in front of my parents or his mother. We are all good friends.”
We cannot wait to see Aditya Seal as a groom and Anushka Ranjan as a bride!
