Singer, Udit Narayan's son, Aditya Narayan, who had started his career in Bollywood as a child actor, had won the hearts of millions of girls after growing up when he had started anchoring reality shows. However, the handsome hunk had lost his heart to his Shaapit co-star, Shweta Agarwal. And since then, there was no looking back for the couple.
In a family special episode of Indian Idol 12, Aditya's mother, Deepa Narayan Jha had stated how she had played the role of Cupid and had asked Shweta to go on a date with Aditya. For the unversed, Aditya Narayan and his long-time girlfriend, Shweta Agarwal had tied the knot in the year 2020, in a close-knit ceremony. However, after 7 months of their marital life, reports of Shweta's pregnancy started doing the rounds in the media.
It was after announcing his sabbatical from television, that rumours of Shweta Agarwal's pregnancy had become rife. However, Aditya Narayan has cleared the air in a recent interview with Pinkvilla and stated that if there is any news on that front, the duo would announce it themselves. He said, "We will make an announcement if and when it happens. We are still a year and a half away from the end of 2022"
Going further in the interview, Aditya Narayan, who had declared that he won't be working as an anchor after 2022, told the portal, "So, I am quite sure that with all the time in hand and all the romance that's happening, it's bound to happen. But I believe it was misconstrued as something that has happened. All I was saying is, I am looking forward to it."
In an interview with ETimes, after which Shweta's pregnancy rumours had started off, Aditya Narayan had said, "2022 will be my final year as a host on Indian television. I won’t host after that. It’s time to do bigger things. I am bound by prior commitments, which I will complete in the coming months. I have such beautiful associations and relations in the industry that agar main abhi chhod doonga toh it will be like abandoning the ship midway."
When Aditya Narayan had shared his plans to quit anchoring, people had started thinking that it was due to his wife, Shweta Agarwal's pregnancy. Further talking about taking a break from television, Aditya Narayan had stated, "I am laying the foundation for my way out. I will take a break from TV next year. I feel great about doing multiple things at a time, but it’s also exhausting. As grateful as I am to Indian television for being my cocoon through the past 15 years, it is time to move on to other things."
On the professional front, Aditya Narayan is now busy hosting Indian Idol Season 12.
