Amongst them was Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil actress, Additi Gupta, who tied the knot with her pilot-beau, Kabir Chopra. The bride, Additi looked mesmerising in an ivory-coloured lehenga with a complementary sheer dupatta, and the groom, Kabir looked dapper in a turquoise blue-coloured sherwani. Some more pictures were shared on the Instagram handles of the newly-wedded couple’s friends, and from there we got the first glimpse of Mrs Chopra. We can’t get over how beautiful she was looking in her post-marriage avatar. Additi adorned a gorgeous red suit with chooda and sindoor complementing her look. The pre-wedding festivities began with the mehendi-cum-bachelorette-cum-bridal shower bash wherein Additi’s ‘Team Bride’ including Drashti Dhami, Anita Hassanandani, Pooja Gor, Kritika Kamra, Ritti Chopra, Aditi Mehta and Jeena Gupta, ensured to make it a ‘night worth remembering’ for the bride. From naach gaana, mehendi to drinks and photo session, Additi’s pre-wedding party was a dhamakedaar night. The next day was followed by the tilak ceremony, and the first few pictures from their wedding celebrations surfaced online on December 11, 2018, wherein they look dreamy together! For the tilak ceremony, Additi was looking extremely graceful in her blue noodle-strap salwar, kada and simple make-up.
Additi Gupta has been devoted to her professional commitments until the last date prior to her marriage. A report quoted the Qubool Hain star saying sometime back, "Shooting day and night is quite challenging with heavy wedding costumes on. I'm struggling to even find time for my real wedding. I wish the schedule of our show changes so that we can enjoy life outside work too."
Before anyone knew, Additi was already an engaged lady and also had a 'secret' roka ceremony. Revealing the news of her engagement with her fans, Additi shared a romantic picture from their roka ceremony and captioned it with a heart emoji. And in her Insta story, she shared a snap holding hands of her fiancé, Kabir Chopra and wrote, "I said no... Just kidding. *He is mine*".
In an interview with The Times Of India, Additi had then shared her reasons of making her roka a secret affair, "It’s too personal and too new to talk about... if you know what I mean. All I can say is that yes, the news is true and I have been ROKAOED." The actress even went on to reveal that she never wanted an industry man. Here’s what Additi had said, "I am glad for the fact that he is not from this industry. I never wanted an industry boy."
At one point, she had also revealed her plans of staying single and was quoted as saying, "I don't feel I should plan about my marriage so early. But yes my parents wish to see me settled. My relatives, people around and neighbours keep asking my parents about my marriage plans. Such questions are sometimes funny, irritating and also make you blush (laughs). I'm happy being single after the breakup. As of now I'm not dating anyone but enjoying being single." And then this happened!
