The adult content creator has explained that he and Lena have decided to take a break from their relationship after facing persistent challenges. Although it does not mean the end, as they are legally married, leaving room for future reconciliation.
Adam22 admits his behavior has played a major role in his split with Lena
Adam22 opened his heart for an honest conversation on the podcast and explained that the biggest reason behind his separation was not their famous open marriage. Rather, it was his inability to balance his family life and work after the birth of his daughter in 2020. He admitted that after he welcomed his daughter, Parker, with Lena, she took the majority of the parental and household duties.
In turn, he focused heavily on work, podcasts, and videos. Adam22 recalled spending long hours recording podcasts before coming home. It meant that Lena quietly looked after everything else. Initially, the arrangement worked well as Lena looked after Parker's school, shopping, household, and their other day-to-day family needs. But eventually the same grew into frustration.
Things became worse when Adam told her that he sort of believed his only responsibility was to go to work and return. The comment made it difficult for them to have a productive conversation on the issue. He said that the experience made him rethink his priorities and the need for a better work-life balance to rebuild his relationship. In his words:
"Over the last couple of years, in particular, since we had our child, I think my extremely one-sided lifestyle of doing podcasts all day, every day, and not really making myself a terribly active participant in the family life is probably like the biggest factor. We had a child, and then she kind of just took on all of the responsibilities of being the parent."
Since Adam22 and Lena The Plug have had an unconventional, open relationship for a long time now, many internet users have assumed it was the cause of their split. For those who don't know, Lena recently joined Drake's dating show, 20 vs. 1, and threw her wedding ring during a livestream.
However, Adam denied the same. He clarified that their marital problems were unrelated to Lena's bond with other men. Still, the duo shares good terms, as they continue to find the best way forward.
