The Indian film industry has suffered a massive shock as one of the finest actors in the history of the South Indian film industry, Puneeth Rajkumar, passed away on October 29, 2021, at the age of 46. The actor had made his acting debut in the film industry with the film, Appu, and since then, there has been no looking back for him. After a series of hit movies, he was termed as the 'Powerhouse' by his massive fans and critics.

On October 29, 2021, popular South Indian actor, Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted to the Vikram Hospital in Bengaluru after the Sandalwood actor reportedly suffered a severe cardiac arrest. As per the latest reports, some of the most dignified doctors of the city were treating the actor in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). However, despite their best efforts, the doctors couldn't save him from the clutches of death. The passing of the iconic actor has shocked the entire Indian film industry.

A few minutes ago, before the news of Puneeth Rajkumar's death, an official statement was released from the side of Dr Ranganath Nayak of Vikram Hospital, who opened up about the actor's health condition. In his conversation with the media, the doctor said:
"Actor Puneeth Rajkumar was admitted after suffering chest pain at 11:30 am. Trying our best to treat him. His condition is serious. Can't say anything as of now. His condition was bad when brought to the hospital, treatment on in the ICU."
Soon, after the news of Puneeth Rajkumar's hospitalisation was broke in the media, thousands of his fans have gathered on the roads. After that, the city's administrative department deployed many police officers outside the hospital to control the emotional fans who were surely going through a massive heartbreak. The actor was renowned for his memorable performances in the film, Vasantha Geetha.
