One of Bollywood’s most celebrated director, Abhishek Kapoor and his wife, Pragya Kapoor are making most of their 'baby-time' these days. On May 25, 2018, Abhishek had taken to Instagram and sharing a picture of his wife, Pragya with her baby bump, announced to his fans that he is all set to embrace fatherhood for the second time. Sharing about the same, he wrote, “This beautiful woman is set to bring in another bundle of joy into our lives.September couldn't come sooner. #comeseptember #isanakafasana #jaibholenath”. Sharing the same picture, Pragya wrote, “Time to share you with the world...but I’m gonna hold on a little longer. #babyno2 #isanakafasana #precioustime #pregnancy #septemberbaby”.
And on August 28, 2018, Abhishek and Pragya welcomed their second baby, an adorable baby boy, Shamsher Kapoor. Ever since, Abhishek and Pragya’s social media feed has been stacked with moments with the little munchkin. Yesterday (January 11, 2019), Pragya took to Instagram and posted a beautiful picture of a morning chill session with her baby boy. Sharing the picture, Pragya captioned it as, “Morning chill with #shambhookasher @gattukapoor.” Here’s the image:
Abhishek had earlier written a heartwarming post while announcing the name of their second child. Sharing two pictures (one of his film Rock On! and a picture of the baby and mother), took to Instagram and wrote, “I started my career as an actor and did a number of movies as a leading man. Many of them didn’t even see the light of day and the ones that did, failed miserably. Then I wrote a story called Aryan and made a shift to direction. That movie didn’t succeed either. I went back to work and made another movie which many thought would barely make a mark. On the 28th of August 2008, exactly 10 years ago, that movie, #rockon !! premiered and went on to succeed like no other that year and won 2 national awards”. The post could be further read as, “I had finally got my head out of the water and could breathe. Today, exactly 10 years later to mark a #decade , my wife and I have been blessed with a baby boy. The ease with which our son has entered this world carried the same confidence his mother has like a lion, in fact, he is a 1st amongst lions. Prior to the aforementioned post, the Kai Po Che! director shared the happy news of the arrival of his second baby boy by sharing the following video and captioning it as, “With the blessings of Lord Shiva, in the wee hours of this morning, my jaan @pragyadav has bought another bundle of joy into our lives. At 3.38 am today, 28 of August 2018, #isana ka bhaiya aa gaya . #jaibholenat. Both mother and son are doing fine and resting. It’s gonna be a madhouse with a lot more to go around #isanakafasana”.
Abhishek is riding high on his professional life these days, thanks to the release of his latest film, Kedarnath, starring Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput. In an interview with Mid-Day, he spoke about his wife, Pragya Yadav’s support in his success and stated, “My wife is a rock. She's a very dependable person and this episode in our lives… I had shot 50 percent of my movie and the remaining half was stuck, and she was 50 percent pregnant. It was a very trying time for us. In fact, she just stepped in and ran the whole production from her end, and that moved me. I was spending my own money at one point in time to keep the film moving ahead, and she just jumped in and took charge. Yes, Pragya was handling Kedarnath’s production. Sharing about what made her opt for the role, she stated in an interview, “I used to do a lot of events earlier, so I always knew about production. I was involved with Abhishek in Fitoor as well, but this time I was more hands-on with regards to taking a call on things.” About working with her hubby, she further added, “I had a great time working with Abhishek. It’s good that he is a good listener and he respects your opinion. If you ask for his help, he is always around. He is open about everything.”
