Their friendship blossomed in love in 2005 when they were shooting for the movie, Umrao Jaan. Later, in 2007, Abhishek proposed to Aishwarya in New York, and she said 'yes'. For a long time, the rumours about some problems in Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's marital life have been constantly dominating all the headlines. Amid all these going on, we stumbled upon an old interview of Abhishek Bachchan, wherein he shared a fond memory of one of his first dates with Aishwarya at a football match. Abhishek Bachchan's love for football is nothing unknown to his fans, and he even plays sports and owns the football franchise, Chennaiyin FC. However, in one of his interviews with the Hindustan Times, Abhishek called Aishwarya a complete football hooligan and revealed that she often screams and shouts at the players.

In the same interview, Abhishek Bachchan walked down memory lane and recalled one of their first dates at a Chelsea match. The actor mentioned how his wifey went completely into the game and became extremely excited. Abhishek also added that for him, it has become difficult to take Aishwarya to matches as she starts to scream. Abhishek could be quoted as saying:
"A bit unusual. But she went ballistic! She completely got into the game. Now it’s tough to take her anywhere because she starts screaming and shouting at the players.”
It has been a long time since the gossip about something not being well between the lovebirds, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, have been making headlines. However, it is worth mentioning that neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have addressed the same. But it was back in 2014 when Abhishek Bachchan dropped a cryptic tweet while replying to the gossipmongers. Slamming the constant gossip his personal life, Abhishek wrote:
"Ok…. So I believe I’m getting divorced. Thanks for letting me know! Will you let me know when I’m getting re-married too? Thanks. #muppets."
There's no denying the fact that the more a couple fights, the stronger love grows between them, and Aishwarya and Abhishek are no exception. However, during an interview with Vogue India for their July 2010 edition, Abhishek and Aishwarya were asked about the frequency of their fights. To this, the actress mentioned that they fight every day.
Abhishek Bachchan added that what happens between them is more like disagreement, and they are healthy. Later, on being asked who makes up the fights between them first, Abhishek said they have a rule of not sleeping without resolving the issue. The actor also indirectly said that he is the one to apologise first. On the other hand, Aishwarya, on being Koffee With Karan, said that she is the one who apologises first if she and Abhishek have a fight.

As per a report by Times Now, Aishwarya and Abhishek's marital life has been in trouble for years now, but they try to keep their calm on the same for Aaradhya. As per a source, Aishwarya is not on talking terms with Jaya Bachchan, and she lives in a separate place in Jalsa along with Abhishek and Aaradhya.
