Talking about their love story, Abhinav had once shared, "I met Rubina at a friend's house during Ganpati last year. Let me be honest - I checked her out as she looked resplendent in a sari. We had known each other for a year and a half but started dating only a few months back. We had also worked together earlier in Chhoti Bahu but didn't interact much back then. What got us together is the fact that we are both thinkers, hardcore travellers and fitness freaks. It's always good to be with someone who adds value to your life, and she inspires me. What's attractive about her is that she is pretty and dignified.”
On the other hand, Rubina had once stated, "It all started with a photo shoot. He commented on one of my pictures--will you give me the privilege to shoot you? And I was wondering, who’s this guy?" Yesterday, on April 10, 2019, Rubina took to her official Instagram handle and shared a post stating, “I am strong because I know my weakness, I am beautiful because I am aware of my flaws, I am fearless because I learn to recognise illusion from reality, I am wise because I learn from my mistakes, I am a lover because I have felt hate, AND I can laugh because I have known sadness.” Here’s the post:
To this, Rubina’s lovely hubby chose to comment on the post and left a rather funny remark, which could be read as, “I am fatter now because I have not eaten lately!” And soon Rubina replied to him with a face with monocle emoji, as if she is questioning and pondering over his comment. On Valentine's Day on February 14, 2019, the Indians were frozen in a state of shock as 40 CRPF jawans were brutally killed in a suicide bomber case in the conflicted valley of Kashmir. There were many celebrities who expressed their anger about it on social media. But Rubina got targeted for posting a picture of herself on her Instagram handle in which she could be seen chilling by a beach rather than talking about the incident.
The doting hubby, Abhinav straight away slammed a troll for commenting on Rubina's post. Abhinav wrote, "@shael bravo you are much insignificant and immature that I reply to you but I will. We have more people in the Armed Forces in our family and amongst our friends than you would have ever met in your lifetime! We have done our bit which we won't announce! You surely need to learn some lessons, firstly every Indian living with sincerity and honesty is doing his bit and being worthy of being defended by our esteemed forces. Secondly, stop giving sermons on Instagram and go serve the affected on the ground. Thirdly, next time learn how to speak to a woman, if not learn it from our forces and officers, if they see you ranting and trying to be a hero on Instagram, they will give you a good lesson, we call it fauji style. Jai Hind."
Do you know the unique and heartfelt gift that Rubina gave to her hubby when the two tied the knot? The pretty damsel created a music video for her hubby which took her almost 4 months to complete. Talking to SpotboyE about the same, Rubina had revealed, “It all began 3-4 months back jab hamari shaadi ki date finalise hui thi. Main tabse soch rahi thi ki wedding gift kya doongi main Abhinav ko? I wanted to give him something immaterial. And I had been learning a bit of music, as and when mujhe apni shooting se time milta tha. So, I thought – what if I gift him a song?” (Don't Miss: Shaheer Sheikh Enjoys His Ice-Cream Date With Nephew, Aadam, Shares A Cutesy Picture Of The Munchkin)
She had further added, “Beech beech main I would write 4-5 lines ka poem for him. Just as and when, to just surprise him. I would text these lines to him. I’m pretty good at poetry and prose. I had a few lines with me, that I had penned as a poem for him and I thought why not translate them into a song? And maybe if it goes per plan, I thought I could gift it to him on our wedding.” (Checkout: Juhi Chawla Shares An Unseen Picture Of Her Kids, And We Must Say Her Daughter Looks Just Like Her)
On being asked if Abhinav recognised her voice, Rubina had replied, “At first, he just looked at the video, spellbound, as I had compiled our personal footage from the last 4 years. It was footage from our travels and celebrations – Diwali, Holi, aisi choti-choti clips mere paas thi and I patched them together. Initially, he thought ki some film song par I made that video. But then, in the middle of the song, he realised that it was not a film song. He asked me, “Have you sung this?” I just smiled. He got up and started dancing, he was so elated”.
Here's wishing Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla all the happiness and love in this world!
