The source alleged that although Abbey was ready to exchange vows, David needed some time for the same.

Abbey’s mother, Christine Romeo, shared a video on her YouTube channel on April 19, 2026, clarifying a few things related to the split. Christine said that Abbey and David did not have any dispute, and they had different wishes for their respective lives. Christine continued by saying:

“David was happy in his way of doing life. And Abbey’s was different. And they found that out over this period of time. I’m grateful for the time they had. I was a fabulous relationship. For anybody, a five-year relationship is a successful relationship. You learn so much, you grow so much.”

Christine said that a lot of things have changed compared to what people saw in the latest season of Love on the Spectrum. She addressed the same by saying:

“The show shoots and you see it a year later. So just remember that things are not happening in the chronological order that you might think.”

Christine Romeo stated that it is necessary to “autistic relationships” since a lot of individuals on the show won’t do exactly what normal people have been doing in real life. Christine said that the relationship with David Isaacman helped Abbey Romeo to understand her emotions, and this growth was impossible without David. Christine added that every relationship is similar, where they let individuals grow and change a lot of things.
