Bollywood actor, Aayush Sharma is the grandson of the former union minister, Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma. For the unversed, during the Narasimha Rao government at the centre, Sukh Ram was holding the communication ministry. He had pioneered the first mobile phone call in the country by calling the then-Chief Minister of West Bengal, Jyoti Basu. And recently, as per media reports, Aayush's grandfather was admitted to a hospital in Delhi due to a sudden illness.
For the unversed, Aayush Sharma had tied the knot with superstar, Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan in November 2014. Their wedding was indeed a star-studded one, as big names from the industry including, Shah Rukh Khan and his family, Kabir Khan and his wife, Mini Mathur, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar and many more were in attendance. Later, the couple was blessed with two kids, Ahil Sharma and Ayat Sharma, and since then, the family of four has been living the best of their lives.

As per a report in the Times of India, Aayush Sharma's grandfather, Pandit Sukh Ram Sharma suffered a brain stroke which is why he was admitted to the AIIMS hospital in Delhi. Reportedly, the veteran politician arrived in the capital city on May 7, 2022, via an aeroplane from Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. This was because of Sukh Ram's deteriorating health since the afternoon of May 6, 2022.
On May 3, 2022, Salman Khan’s sister, Arpita Khan and his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma had hosted a grand Eid party at their Khar residence. The party was a star-studded affair as celebrities from Bollywood and television were papped while entering the venue. Starting from Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor, Kangana Ranaut, Sushmita Sen, Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D'souza, Neha Dhupia-Angad Bedi to many others were seen donning ethnic ensembles.
