Jeevika Tyagi, the co-founder and CEO of athleisure brand, Aastey, appeared on the business reality TV show, Shark Tank India 3 to pitch her brand to the sharks. Unfortunately, the entrepreneur failed to impress the sharks. Later, Jeevika even hit back at the show's makers for their PR tactics and called out Namita Thapar for her remarks about her brand. Moreover, the entrepreneur also had talked about how she requested Sony TV to not air their part, but to no avail
Recently, Aastey's co-founder, Jeevika appeared on one of the episodes of the podcast, Konversation With Kushal, which was released on April 16, 2024. During the interaction, the entrepreneur opened up about a lot of things related to her professional life and Shark Tank India's experience was one of them. Jeevika shared that she is a part of a group with other pitchers and revealed that there are many who have not got the funding. Sharing how she is not interested in the show, Jeevika said:
"I am not interested in the show actually. Aapne wo suna nahi hai, wo Shark Tanks ke champs ka e group hai, main bhi USS group pe hun, I am connected to 450 pitchers, bohot logon ko paisa nahi mila hai and people are quite vocal about it."

In the same conversation, Jeevika said that she has made peace with what happened on the show. The entrepreneur added that Shark Tank India is a TRP-driven show, unlike its international counterpart. Jeevika mentioned that initially, she had thought that she would be having serious talks with the venture capitalists (VCs), but it did not turn out that way. She also opened up about how people are very rude on the show. In her words:
"I have made by peace with whatever happened on the show, I understand. It's a very TRP-driven show, it's not the same international Shar Tank vibe jo main soch ke gayi this ki VCs ko pitch karenge and aise serious business talk hoga wo aisa nahi hai kaafi TRP-driven hai Indian Shark Tank, so pitches bohot high hote hai, logon ka tareeka bohot rude hai baat karne ka, it is not a professional meeting."
Moreover, Jeevika also discussed the selection process for Shark Tank India and the duration of the shoot. The host further asked the entrepreneur about her experience interacting with each shark. To this, Jeevika said that she wanted Radhika Gupta, the Managing Director and CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, to be their shark but unfortunately, that did not happen. She further said that before going to Shark Tank India, Vineeta Singh was her favourite shark. However, it all changed after the show. Jeevika mentioned that the men were phenomenal as their positioning was clear from the beginning and added that Aman Gupta, co-founder of boAt, was dismissive from the start and his vibe was clear. She said:
"Before Shark Tank, Vineeta was my favourite shark. However, in my experience, in general, I don't know why, but the men were phenomenal. Unka sabka positioning clear tha ki who's gonna be the dramatic, who's gonna be the vibe and who's gonna be serious and it was like that I had a pleasant experience. Aman shuru se hi was very dismissive ki kuch pasand nahi aa raha hai, I liked his vibe ki ye clear hai aur maybe because we are sustainable and boAt is not."

The host inquired about Jeevika's feelings after the sharks said that they had financial indiscipline and that their company got easy funding. She revealed being devastated at that time and said that it was a lot to take as a human being. Jeevika also added that the sharks try to mentally break people to get their honest reactions, and it took her days to recover from what had happened on the show. Moreover, she also blamed herself for going on the show and mentioned that she felt really bad when the makers tried to shut her voice down even though she was using her own Instagram.
