Making a rare comment about her, the veteran NFL star said that he would consult her before deciding when to call time on his NFL career. Now that the big news is finally out, he revealed in May 2026 that he actually made the decision after many discussions with his spouse and his coach. Aaron told the reporters:

"I had a lot of conversations with Mike and [GM] Omar [Khan] for a while. Just had a lot of conversations with my wife about it, and after the draft, I came to the conclusion that I wanted to play, wanted to come back."
