Aamir Ali and Shamita Shetty have been grabbing the headlines after a video of the two surfaced on social media, where the handsome actor escorted her to her car. After the viral video, speculations about the two dating each other spread like wildfire and now, Aamir himself clarified the same in a recent video.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Aamir Ali opened up about his linkup rumours with actress, Shamita Shetty and stated that he was just being a gentleman and escorted a friend. Sharing details about the same, Aamir revealed that he and Shamita are single and said:
“Hi! I don’t know what to say. My mom has always taught me to be a gentleman. If someone comes home, I generally drop them at the door, whoever that is. A friend of mine was there and I escorted her to her car. I was just being a friend and it became something else. Guys, we are single. I am single, she is single. We are just very very close friends and that’s about it. That’s about it.”

Further in the video, Aamir drew comparisons with actor, Shah Rukh Khan and his mehmaan nawazi and stated:
“Ek cheeze khaali. Shah Rukh Khan sir bhi, main suna hun, jab mehmaan aate hai toh darwaaze tak chorne jaate hai. Toh woh theek hai, maine karliya toh, just saying.”

It was on January 27, 2023, when Shamita Shetty was spotted getting out of a restaurant after attending a party. The actress looked stunning as she donned a white-hued top featuring a plunging neckline and paired it with a black-hued leather skirt. As she posed for the shutterbugs, actor, Aamir Ali, photobombed her session while escorting her towards her car. Aamir also planted a kiss on Shamita’s cheek.

As soon as the video went viral on social media, it was speculated that Aamir and Shamita were the latest lovebirds in town. However, Shamita dismissed the rumours and called people’s mindsets prudish. Taking to her Twitter handle, Shamita stated that she is baffled by the rumours and also questioned why a celeb’s every action is subjected to scrutiny.
For the unversed, Shamita fell in love with actor, Raqesh Bapat on the reality show, Bigg Boss OTT. However, after the show got over, the duo fell out of love and parted ways. On the other hand, Aamir Ali, who was married to actress, Sanjeeda Shaikh, got officially separated in 2021 after 9 years of marital bliss. The estranged couple also has a daughter, Ayra Ali via surrogacy, whose custody lies with Sanjeeda.
