Singer and songwriter, Ron Kenoly’s sudden demise on February 3, 2026, has led to a lineup of tributes on social media and other platforms. The artist was 81 years old at the time of death. Ron’s associate, Bruno Miranda, was the one who revealed the heartbreaking news on Instagram with a photo. Ron Kenoly was known for his collaborations with the record label, Integrity Music, and was active in the music industry since 1968.

Although Ron Kenoly was a famous face in the musical world, he was also featured in a film, The Bill Collector, released back in 2010. Ron released 14 albums in his career, starting with Jesus Is Alive in 1991. This was followed by Lift Him Up, God Is Able, Sing Out with One Voice, Welcome Home, High Places: The Best of Ron Kenoly, and more. Outside the music industry, Ron Kenoly had a family, with three children born from his first marriage to a woman named Tavita, a singer. Ron Kenoly and Tavita were introduced through mutual friends

Ron Kenoly was reportedly serving in the Air Force when he first met Tavita during the ‘60s. Back in 1994, Ron recalled in an interview that the meeting happened through some mutual friends. Ron said during the conversation that he decided to tie the knot with Tavita after he met her, despite the fact that Tavita was initially not attracted to Ron. Ron even claimed that while he was playing with the nightclub band, Mellow Fellows, Tavita believed that he was a “playboy.” However, Tavita changed her opinion at one point.

Ron Kenoly started working with multiple record labels after he married Tavita

Tavita was also a singer like Ron Kenoly. The pair went on a lot of tours before they tied the knot. Ron left the Air Force in 1968, following which he exchanged vows with Tavita. They had a son named Tony, and the couple shifted to Los Angeles. Ron’s career took a different turn here as he joined a company, Audio Arts, followed by more contracts with other companies such as MCA and Warner Bros. Ron Kenoly reportedly earned a lot from the projects released under these deals.

Ron Kenoly and Tavita’s faith in Jesus Christ prevented their separation

Ron Kenoly and Tavita’s marriage started going through a rough phase around seven years after they tied the knot. However, things took a different turn when Tavita committed to her faith in Jesus Christ at the Foursquare Church in Los Angeles in 1975. Tavita had reportedly left her faith when she grew up. Shortly after Tavita accepted Christ once again, Ron and his family moved to Oakland. Tavita’s faith also saved the marriage. Ron addressed the same in an interview, stating that being married for 26 years in California can also be considered an achievement.

Ron Kenoly’s children have also been pursuing a career in music

Ron Kenoly and Tavita were married for around 42 years and had three children - Samuel, Ronald, and Tony. All three sons have followed their parents’ footsteps. They have written a lot of songs, alongside playing musical instruments and singing. Ron said in his interview in 1994 that two of his younger sons started singing when they were in the middle of the teenage years. Ron revealed that his three sons are interested in genres such as hip-hop and rap.
