Egg whites are known for being high in proteins and amino acid. Thus, they are touted as one of the most effective solutions for removing stretch marks. To get their benefit, extract the whites of two eggs in a bowl. Take a fork and gently whip it. Wash the affected area with clean water. Now pat it dry and with the help of a brush, apply a thick layer of egg whites. Let it dry completely. Once it is done, wash it off with cold water. Now pat it dry and to moisturise the skin apply olive oil. For best results, continue this every day, for at least two weeks.
This fruit is not just tasty; it is quite effective on the skin too. To get a proof of the skin benefits of this wonder fruit, take 2-3 apricots, cut them and remove the seeds. Now put them in a blender and grind them to form a paste. Directly apply the paste on the affected area. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash it with lukewarm water. Continue the process for 30 days and get amazing results.
Lemon is one of the simplest home remedies to battle stretch marks, because of its acidic properties. It is a great remedy for any kind of scars. Give a gentle massage to the affected area, in circular motion for around 10 minutes with the juice of one lemon. Wash it off with warm water. You can also mix some cucumber juice with lemon juice and apply on the scars. Lemon contains alpha hydroxyl acids (AHA) and vitamin C, which are considered effective in dead skin removal and curing stretch marks. Another option is making a paste by mixing 1-2 drops of glycerine in lemon juice. Rub it on the affected area gently. Repeat the ritual twice a day. Besides reducing stretch marks, it retains the moisture of the skin.
Being a storehouse of minerals and vitamins, potato helps in restoration and growth of skin cells. Cut a thick potato slice and gently rub on the stretch marks for a few minutes. Let it settle for time, until the juice dries up. Wash it afterwards with lukewarm water.
To speed up the process, one can add lemon juice to potato juice or tomato juice in equal quantity, and apply on the affected area.
An excellent natural exfoliator, sugar has great effects on skin, especially in reducing stretch marks. To get maximum benefits, take one tablespoon of sugar, a few drops of lemon juice and almond oil. Blend them well and apply straight on the marks. Scrub the affected part for about 10 minutes and take a lavish shower. Keep following this ritual for a month to get the desired results.
Black tea has Vitamins B, C and E in abundance. It is even rich in minerals like magnesium, potassium and zinc. B complex vitamins are known for enhancing beauty by improving the condition of skin, nails as well as hair. Similarly, Vitamin B12 aids in controlling pigmentation of the skin. To remove stretch marks, pour some water in a pan, add 2 tablespoons of black tea powder and one teaspoon of salt and boil for 2 minutes. Remove from the flame and let it cool down. Apply on the stretch marks and leave it to dry up. Rinse with warm water.
Rich in antiseptic properties, honey works wonders in removing stretch marks. To use it, take a small cloth, soak it with honey and place it on the area with stretch marks. Keep it there, until it dries up. Afterwards, give a through rinse with warm water. Alternately, you can make a honey scrub by blending it with a little glycerin and salt. Apply it on the affected area, let it dry, and wash it off with water.
