There is nothing as beautiful and exciting as a wedding. And, on top of it, if it is your best friend’s wedding, the fun is multiplied by so many times. But, while it may be fun and all, there are a few things that might concern you, especially if your friend who is getting married lives in a different city as you.

So, did your best friend just break the news of her marriage to you? You must definitely be very excited, but there is a small thought that is lurking behind your happy state of mind; the expenses! Since you stay in different cities or are separated by continents, you may have to fly. But, is that really feasible? Can you afford flight expenses? Well, do not worry if you cannot, because there are other ways to make it in time for the wedding and be a part on your friend’s special day.
It is a misconception that two-way air tickets are cheaper as compared to one-way. Just research enough on various websites, whether airlines or comparision portals, and you are sure to find something that will guarantee saving a few bucks!

If you have miles saved with a certain airline, then this is the best time to use it to fly without having to pay much. Just give the airlines a call and ask how much more you are to pay to secure a seat. You will definitely save some money and your accumulated miles will be put to good use!
Although, this is only possible if the destination is feasibly reachable by road, but this can be a very economical way of travelling, whether you are alone or have a bunch of other people going with you. You can either rent a car or drive on your own to reach the wedding destination. In either case, it will be fun as you and your other friends can dance, sing, and get ready for the wedding madness to begin.
You should definitely not miss the fun you can have during a train journey, that too before a wedding. Check with your friend about who all are invited and you can book your tickets together! However, if you are all by yourself, you could just stack a couple of books in your bag or load some good music in your iPod and be ready for the journey! Just make sure you are prepared if it takes you more than a day to reach the destination!
We know how terrible it can be to miss your friend’s wedding, but if you cannot go, it’s okay. However, before you say this to your buddy, just make sure you’ve tried every possible way to make it to the wedding. Finally, if you cannot, you can at least make up for it virtually. See if one of your friends who are invited, can give you LIVE updates from the wedding. If there is a hashtag for the wedding, make sure you follow that too. Above all, if your friend does understand your situation, your equation would not change at all! So, just be honest with him/her.
Let us hope you do find one of these ways helpful to attend your friend’s wedding. After all, your best friend’s wedding is a once-in-a-lifetime event, isn’t it?
