There are several love-themed movies that teach us valuable relationship lessons. Some of these include Hollywood movies like American Beauty, Pride and Prejudice, Casablanca, Last Tango in Paris, Scent of a Woman, and Bollywood movies, such as Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Veer Zaara, Vivaah, etc.
Every movie has something special to say. Maybe that is why, films are known to be a slice of life, right? Out of the countless love classics that both Hollywood and Bollywood have given us, we have shortlisted four most famous ones. And, what we are going to reveal is what all they can teach you about love and relationships.
Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge (DDLJ) is a love story that surely needs no introduction. It is about Raj (Shahrukh Khan) and Simran (Kajol), and how his love for her helps him to win not only her, but her family as well.
In the decade that focused on the love tales that concluded with elopement, DDLJ refreshingly focused on core Indian values. Raj could have eloped with Simran, but he chose the hard way out. He insisted on marrying her only by her father’s permission. He did everything possible to make sure to get the strict, conservative father’s blessings. And, he finally got it too.

Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na was simply magical. This one beautifully reiterates, what Shahrukh had said in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, "Pyar dosti hai...", especially for the generation X. Growing up together, seeing each other through good and bad times can eventually transform friends into lovers. People mature and so do their understanding of whom they want to be with. The movie is simply delightful with its little perks and nuances.
The most memorable scene- Definitely the one where Jai reaches the airport on a white horse, and rushes to her just to sing “Jaane tu ya jaane na”.
Little did Jack and Rose know that they would find love atop the fateful Titanic, ready to embark on its maiden journey and never destined to reach its slated destination. Their whirlwind romance, moments of love and the ultimate quest for survival in the midst of crisis, remains etched on our minds forever.
