24 YO Riddhi Thakkar Dies, Last Post Of Mumbai Biker Came Just Hours Before Her Chattisgarh Accident

The 24-year-old female biker from Mumbai tragically died on Wednesday morning, August 12, 2026, following a road accident. As per reports, it was a hit-and-run case on NH-30 in Chhattisgarh's Dhamtari district. Riddhi, who had amassed a dedicated following of thousands with her travel content, has left her fans heartbroken. Amid the tragedy, many followers have revisited her final post.
Riddhi Thakkar's last post resurfaced after her death in a fatal bike crash
Riddhi Thakkar was just 24 when she lost her life after a speeding truck hit her bike on Chhattisgarh's NH-30. Her sudden and unexpected death left her family, friends, and close people absolutely devastated. Riddhi, better known by her social media persona 'gearglimpse54', used Instagram to share photos and videos of her bike travels from one state to another. She travelled to numerous places in India and posted about her journey and experience on her IG account.
Riddhi Thakkar kept her Insta fans updated throughout her road journey, and she did the same during her final trip to Raipur, Chhattisgarh. In what became her last post, Riddhi shared a carousel featuring the third part of her Mumbai to Raipur ride. The photos, posted on August 11, 2026, just hours before the tragedy, included little glimpses of her 310 km journey. In one pic, Riddhi can be seen riding her Royal Enfield bike.
It also included an image of the bike in a muddy state with the text, "Hot mess," and another of the vehicle on the "Lovely NH-53" by the Wainganga River. The other photos included Riddhi's sweet interaction with a local Chhattisgarh police officer, whom she called "CG Police", and a solo shot of her with a butterfly in hand. The last of the 6-slide carousel featured a gorgeous selfie of Riddhi Thakkar, wherein she expressed her excitement for the next day of her journey to Raipur.
The enthusiastic biker wrote, "See yll on day 4", however, her wish remained unfulfilled due to her untimely demise. Riddhi Thakkar's followers, who waited for her daily riding content, took to the comment section to express their disbelief at her passing and to share their condolences. Her final post was captioned as:
"Day 3: Mumabi > Aurangabad > Nagpur > Raipur 700 #solotravel #bikergirl #ellora."

On the day of her demise, Riddhi Thakkar, a Mumbai-based biker was riding with a group of approximately 20 to 23 motorcyclists. All of them had reportedly gathered in Raipur and were riding towards Kanker to explore the Bastar region. While on the road, Riddhi met with an accident after a speeding trailer truck rammed her vehicle from behind, throwing her onto the road and inflicting critical injuries.
At the time of the crash, most riders of Riddhi Thakkar's biker group had moved ahead while she and a few other riders lagged slightly behind. However, it was she who became the victim of a rash-driving individual and lost her life in the accident. After that, fellow riders and emergency services rushed Riddhi to a local health centre. Due to the severe injuries to her leg and body, doctors referred her to Shriram Hospital in Dhamtari, where she passed away during treatment.
The at-fault truck driver fled the spot immediately after hitting Riddhi Thakkar's bike. Local police, led by Balod Superintendent of Police Kiran Chavan, immediately registered a case of unnatural death. They launched an investigation into the accident and are reportedly checking CCTV footage to track down the offender.
