Having kids in the family is always an amazing thing as they provide full day entertainment to everyone in the house. It obviously is a surreal feeling when you become a maasi because, after all, they are your own sister’s child, but becoming a chachi is as much the fun!
All the pampering you get to do, all the love and admiration you get from them and just getting the title of the ‘’coolest chachi’’ ever makes life so much more fun! And what’s best is that you get to live in the same house!

When you stay in the same house, you get to spend a lot of time together. And especially when your brother-in-law and sister-in-law are out, you feel like you are taking care of your own children.
Because you have a soft corner for your nephew and nieces, you can get easily bribed by them for letting them do all the things that their parents disapprove of. Aren’t you like the nicest person on the planet!!
Well, can you ever be? And even if you are, is it that easy to get off the hook? Naah!
And it is actually kind of fun. You not only bond more but are preparing yourself for your own kids. And because you are already very familiar with one another, it's actually kind of cool!
A little extra pocket money, tickets to their favourite movie, some help with the holiday homework; whatever be the task at hand, dearest chachi is always there to get things done!
And that is the only time you feel stress-free and relaxed. You play with the little one on the floor, roll and jump, you discuss their teenage problems and give them advice, you are just not that person this tough competitive world has made you. You are just you!
Because after all, they are your husband’s elder brother’s children and you don’t want them to get offended by anything you do and spoil relations.
For the little ones, you are like a fairy godmother. Whenever they get little bumps and aches, they know that your gentle kiss will make all pains and worries disappear!
Parents are usually very careful or rather strict about their children’s eating habits and do not allow them to have a lot of junk food, juices, chocolates etc. But you being the coolest chachi you are, always make delicious goodies for the kids to eat. You are their master chef!
If you have a niece, you both love playing dress up. You put on makeup, drape saris with dupattas, click lots of selfies and have a gala time.

Because in the house, especially on school days, bedtime = 8 pm. But you are not the ‘follow the rules type’. In your house, the night is always young.
