Will the accuser face a countersuit?

The possibility of the complainant in the Lorna Hajdini scandal facing a countersuit came after the executive denied all the allegations against her. She shared her side of the story through her attorneys. Lorna mentioned that she "categorically denies" all the allegations. At the same time, Lorna emphasized that she never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with the plaintiff. In fact, her legal team also stated that she had never gone to the location where one of the alleged assaults was claimed to have taken place.

Lorna's strong denial made several internet users speculate that she might pursue legal action if the claims were proven false or defamatory. However, no official countersuit has been filed in the case to date. Legal experts believe that before the major takes, Lorna's team would likely have to wait for the complainant to either file the corrected documents or dismiss the case. Until then, any discussion over a counterclaim is just speculation.

What are the allegations against Lorna Hajdini?

A lawsuit was initially filed in New York on April 27, 2026. It accused Lorna of sexual harassment, coercive sexual conduct, drugging, intimidation, and workplace retaliation against a former male employee since 2024  He claimed that Lorna used her senior position to abuse him and pressure him into unwanted sexual encounters. At the same time, there was an allegation of racial harassment, drugging, and inappropriate use of the complainant's bank details. In turn, JPMorgan Chase has rejected the claims. "Following our investigation, we don't believe there's any merit to these claims. While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations."

What can happen next?

Until now, there has been an uncertainty over the position of the original lawsuit. Meanwhile, a court representative told People Magazine that the filing was "returned for correction". It means the documents are no longer available to the public. Usually, the court filings are taken back when the complainant wants to fix some issues, change claims, or dismiss them.

If the plaintiff refiles the complaint and it gets accepted, the case will move into the discovery stage. In this phase, both Lorna and JPMorgan Chase, as well as the complainant, would share evidence, statements, and other documents to support their claims. This could also include JPMorgan records, digital millions, etc. Eventually, the case could go into trial, where a judge would take the final call.
