Maureen Wilson was born on November 20, 1948, in Kolkata, India. Soon after her birth, her family moved to England and lived in West Bromwich, Birmingham. After shifting to England, Maureen’s father started a steel factory business. Earlier, he used to work as the chief of the Calcutta police. Maureen grew up with her younger sister, Shirley Wilson. Maureen pursued a career in nursing and became a trained nurse.
In 1966, Robert Plant crossed paths with Maureen Wilson at a concert by singer Georgie Fame. While the concert got cancelled, the meeting changed the duo’s life. At the time, Maureen was a qualified nurse, and Robert was struggling to establish his foothold in the music industry. There was an instant connection between them. She is married to Charlie Jones, and they share three children, including a daughter, Sunny Jones. Robert and Maureen welcomed their second child and first son, Karac Pendragon, in 1972. However, in 1977, Karac died of a stomach infection. At the time, he was just 5 years old. Two years later, in January 1979, the former couple completed their family by welcoming their third child, son, Logan Romero.
