Ranveer Singh's movie, Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has Sanjay Dutt playing the role of real-life Pakistani Officer, Chaudhary Aslam. He was one of the senior police officers in Karachi who was married to Noreen Aslam Chaudhry. Noreen has been in the news lately after she slammed the movie, Dhurandhar and claimed that her husband, late, Chaudhary Aslam was portrayed in a wrong light. According to a report by Hamariweb.com, Noreen was born in 1975 in a village in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
Late Chaudhary Aslam was known for opposing te**o*ism and organised crime, and for his hard-hitting tactics. He had led some of the most dangerous operations in Pakistan, took a dig at gang empires, and extremists. He lost his life in 2014 when a car carrying explosives smashed into his car, according to a BBC report. Ranveer Singh's film, Dhurandhar, released on December 5, 2025. Noreen has slammed the movie as she claimed that her martyred husband was shown in a 'disrespectful' manner. His role in the movie was played by Sanjay Dutt. According to a Free Press Journal report, Noreen shared that late Chaudhary Aslam was a Sanjay Dutt fan. As he was a fan of the actor, she hoped that Sanjay Dutt would do justice to her husband's strong personality in real life. Noreen was left infuriated over the trailer of Dhurandhar, and found it disrespectful and misleading towards her husband.
According to reports online, Chaudhary Aslam's wife, after his a**assination, was seen in varied events held in his honour. This included the 2017 ceremony, in which Karachi named a road after him. Noreen has also been a part of varied community gatherings and has given many interviews to Lollywood publications in 2022 and 2023. She was seen talking about her simple family life and the memories she had with Chaudhary. Noreen reportedly had also faced financial issues, but had to stay strong for the sake of her kids.
According to a report by Geo News, Noreen and Chaudhary Aslam married in 1991. The chemistry between the two brewed when the late officer used to help Noreen with Maths back during her school days. Noreen reportedly was not sure of marrying Aslam, as being a police officer, he had a high-risk job. However, she was supportive of him when he was taking charge of varied dangerous operations in Karachi. Noreen and Chaudhary Aslam reportedly had an age gap of 12 years and he also happens to be her cousin.
Noreen and Chaudhary Aslam were blessed with three kids and she always stood by her husband until his tragic death took place in 2014. The wife of a policeman is expected to be strong and resilient. It was no different for Noreen, who, in an interview with the Tribune.com, shared how her husband had told her not to cry on his deathbed. Noreen shared:
"He never wanted me to cry, not even on his death. Had I burst into tears after seeing his body, I would have let him down. Do they really think Chaudhry’s woman is that weak?”
Noreen, a widow of SP CID Chaudhary Aslam, shared that her husband was not given a bombproof vehicle on the day he lost his life. She alleged that the vehicle was taken by his friend a few days before the deadly attack that cost the life of her husband. She even alleged that Aslam's friend, who had taken the vehicle from him, had not even come to offer condolences after his demise. Noureen told Geo News:
"It is the responsibility of the government to provide a bombproof vehicle."
