LeAnn Rimes shared a video on Instagram where she was seen breaking down in tears after receiving a therapeutic deep jaw release treatment.
LeAnn Rimes, in a recent conversation, revealed that years of tension in her jaw, neck, and shoulders had been affecting her and her ability to sing freely. The country star has been on a healing journey after her fake teeth fell out while performing on stage in Washington in June 2025. And now, a recent video of her undergoing a Deep Jaw Release has been making headlines. So, as the internet decides its stance on it, let's take a quick look at what the procedure is and what happened during LeAnn's session.
Deep Jaw Release is an intense therapeutic technique designed to release accumulated tension in the jaw muscles, which can cause TMJ disorders, chronic teeth clenching, and headaches, and to alleviate suppressed stress and emotions held in the jaw. The procedure often targets the TMJ (temporomandibular joint) and surrounding fascia, according to a report by North Miami Physical Therapy. The treatment, while it can be uncomfortable given its intra-oral (inside the mouth) massage techniques, is observed to be extremely relieving. The process involves deep massages to break adhesions and relax muscles caused by stress, clenching or trauma. The results can be overwhelming and often lead to emotional and therapeutic release, as we saw in the case of LeAnn Rimes.
In a video shared on social media, LeAnn Rimes was seen reaching out for Deep Jaw Release therapy. The country singer reached out to a self-care provider, Human Garage, for some help easing the tension in her jaw. LeAnn's Garage posted the video of LeAnn's session online, which showed the actress experiencing serious relief within 60 seconds, triggering an intense emotional reaction. The clip begins with LeAnn lying on a cushion as Human Garage co-founder, Garry Lineham places one hand inside her mouth to adjust her jaw. A second person is holding the singer's head still during the process.
LeAnn Rimes's "deep jaw release" treatment was fairly quick, but it left the country star bursting into tears. However, her crying quickly turned to laughter as she inspected the jaw Garry Lineham had just worked on and shared her shock at the results. She can be heard in the video saying, "Oh my God, you just don't realise how much tension is in there." Garry also chimed in, agreeing with LeAnn, sharing that one doesn't realise how much tension there is "until it's gone." The internet has mixed reactions to the video.
The caption in Human Garage's Instagram post explained the procedure. They described their "deep jaw release" procedure as "powerful", as the jaw is reportedly "one of the body's primary storage sites for stress." They reflected on how healing wasn't always quiet; it could mean letting go of things one didn't even realise they were carrying until they did. The post could be read as:
"Healing isn't always quiet. Sometimes it’s a physical letting go of things we didn't even know we were carrying. In this powerful session, @garrylineham works with @leannrimes on a deep Jaw Release. You can see the exact moment the tension breaks and the emotional weight lifts, leaving her feeling visibly lighter and more aligned. The jaw is one of the body’s primary storage sites for stress."
In the same post, Human Garage explained how the fascia in the neck and face works to protect us from stress and can often lock itself. They added that using their "manoeuvres" reportedly allowed that stored energy to move and break the tension, leaving Rimes "visibly lighter and more aligned." They were quoted as saying:
"When we hold back our voice or push through pressure, the fascia in the face and neck 'locks' to protect us. By using the manoeuvres to signal safety to the nervous system, we can finally allow that stored energy to move. Ready to experience this release for yourself and clear the tension in your own face and neck?"
9-1-1 Nashville's LeAnn Rimes had been candid when it comes to her physical well-being since the bridge in the front of her teeth fell out mid-concert in June 2025. In a conversation with E! News, LeAnn reflected on the importance of talking about and taking care of one's health and even admitted that she loved talking about how she was doing. She reflected on how her health was a huge part of her life, and she enjoyed taking her fans on her journey as she explored the "new and fun and cool" things she was doing for her well-being.
She told the outlet that she was "a big biohacker" at the moment, which included doing red light therapy and spending time in an oxygen chamber. She also shared that she's "constantly" in the sauna. She was quoted as saying:
"I'm in the sauna, taking all the binders, doing all the things but so many people deal with that stuff. If you can find the hack and the trick and the thing that works, I'm all about talking about it."
