To mark six years of togetherness, director, Vignesh Shivan posted romantic pictures with his ladylove, Nayanthara.
One of the most stunning actresses of the South film industry, Nayanthara has more than 75 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam to her credit. Talking about her personal life, Nayanthara is in a steady relationship with director, Vignesh Shivan and the two are rumoured to tie the knot very soon. The actress had recently confirmed the news of her engagement with Vignesh during her visit to a television talk show.
It was in 2016 when Nayanthara was cast as the leading actress in the film, Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, directed by Vignesh Shivan. It was during the shooting of the film that the two had fallen head-over-heels in love with each other. The two are quite open about their relationship and never miss an opportunity to shower love on each other.

On October 21, 2021, Vignesh Shivan and Nayanthara completed six years of togetherness and to mark the special occasion, Vignesh shared some unseen pictures with his ladylove. Vignesh took to his IG handle and shared adorable pictures with Nayanthara and wrote, "Doesn’t feel like 6 years! #kaathuvaakula silla moments of #naanumrowdydhaan to share wit ya’ll."
In a Tamil talk show, hosted by Divya Dharshini, Nayanthara had confirmed getting engaged to Vignesh Shivan. When asked about the ring she had flaunted in one of her photos on social media, the actress had replied, "It was my engagement ring. We are private people so we didn't want to have a grand ceremony. When we decide to get married, we will definitely inform our fans. Our engagement happened in the presence of our immediate family members. We haven't decided on our wedding yet."

On March 25, 2021, Vignesh Shivan had taken to his IG handle and had posted a picture of Nayanthara’s hand placed on his chest. In the picture, Nayanthara was seen wearing a ring, which had looked like a wedding ring. He had captioned the picture in Tamil which could be read as “Viralodu uyir kooda korthu”, i.e., Tied my lifeline to my fingers. As soon as the picture had gone viral, Nayanthara and Vignesh’s fans couldn’t hide their happiness. Some had congratulated them, some had curiously asked whether they had gotten engaged?
In an interview with Behindwoods, when Vignesh was asked about his take on the ongoing reports about his and Nayanthara's wedding, the popular filmmaker had talked elaborately about the same for the first time. Vignesh had said, "Rumours about wedding keep coming up from time to time. We both have professional goals to achieve. We cannot think about marriage before that. Also, we are happy with the way things are, right now." Jokingly, Vignesh had also added that he and Nayanthara would surely get married the day when they'll get bored with their dating life.
