Amid Tiger and Elin's reunion, his current relationship with Vanesa Trump has come under the spotlight once again. Notably, she was once reported to be unhappy about the 50-year-old golfer's past relationships, leaving him 'stifled' by her judgment.
A source close to the couple told the National Enquirer that Vanessa Trump was 'insecure' about Tiger Woods because of his past relationships and debatable behavior. The golfer was allegedly not okay with it and felt 'henpecked and stifled' in being judged about his past. The report furthermore claimed that the 48-year-old model followed Tiger everywhere to see what he did and who he interacted with.
Vanessa also allegedly tracked her boyfriend's whereabouts through their mutual friends. The golfer wants Vanessa to stop being sceptical and trust him completely. He didn't want her to feel insecure over his past, which involves infidelity and other controversies. But according to the source, 'the more serious they get, the more fearful she becomes that Tiger will slide into bad habits and self-sabotage.' The insider stated:
"She's insecure when it comes to him and other women. So Vanessa follows Tiger everywhere and checks up on him and what he's up to through mutual friends when they're not together... Tiger's feeling henpecked and stifled. He wants Vanessa to trust him and not judge him on prior behavior."
Vanessa Trump is currently cancer-free, seven months after announcing the diagnosis publicly. However, previously she had a hard time dealing with the ailment while also navigating the consequences of her boyfriend, Tiger Woods' rehabilitation and DUI controversy. Although she fulfilled her duty as a supportive partner by appearing alongside him at his DUI trial, she also reportedly gave him an ultimatum about their relationship.
A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail that Vanessa asked Tiger to make better life choices going forward, and failure to do so would be a 'deal breaker.' Vanessa reportedly felt 'frustrated' and humiliated due to being associated with someone embroiled in multiple controversies. She allegedly told him that if she ever had to face similar situations because of his actions, she would walk out of the relationship.
According to the source, with their children now grown, Vanessa wanted to be free from the duties of being anyone's "caregiver" - even if that someone was her partner. The source was quoted as saying:
"Vanessa has given him an ultimatum. Get his s--t fixed if he wants to be with her. She has zero desire to be with anyone who is going to be a project. Kids are getting older, she's got more freedom. The last thing she needs is to be the caregiver for a partner."
The source claimed that Vanessa was particularly annoyed because of Tiger Woods' addiction. Recently, the 50-year-old golfer completed an inpatient rehabilitation program in Zurich, Switzerland, and will undergo comprehensive treatment abroad next. His travel to Switzerland took place shortly after Vanessa's May 20, 2026 cancer diagnosis announcement.
According to the insider, Vanessa Trump needed her boyfriend 'to be her rock' amid her breast cancer treatment, but he couldn't be there as he had his own issues to deal with. The source further stated that 'at this point she [Vanessa] wants him to face whatever consequences and pull it together.'
