The actor reportedly had completed a 13-hour shift on his ongoing serial, Dr Aarambhi.

It was the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) who had confirmed his death. According to FWICE, Sanjib was returning home to Andheri after completing a 13-hour shoot for his show, Dr Aarambhi.
The shooting of Sanjib's ongoing show was happening at SJ Studios in Saki Naka. He reportedly started shooting at 2.00 p.m. and completed his work around 3 a.m. While returning home, the actor stopped at a petrol pump to refuel. Little did he know that it was his last time, as suddenly he collapsed at the petrol pump.
The general secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) had stated that Sanjib had worked non-stop for 13 hours. He also stated that the actor had earlier complained of not feeling well during the shooting of his show. Sanjib had taken a few short breaks and rested before resuming shooting.
After Sanjib completed his shooting, he had reportedly left for his home in Andheri on a motorcycle. It is not clear if the actor already had an existing heart condition, as he died of a sudden and massive heart attack.
Speaking further about Sanjib Singh, he was unmarried. The junior artist left behind his sister and brother. According to social media reports, Sanjib's sister is a divorcee, while his brother is also not in good health. Reportedly, Sanjib's mortal remains were sent to Mumbai's Cooper Hospital for a post-mortem.
According to social media reports, Sanjib's mortal remains were taken to Kolkata for the last rites after the post-mortem procedure was done. FWICE has extended financial help to the family of Sanjib, who are broken beyond repair at the moment. Earlier, arrangements were also made to transport the body of Sanjib from Kolkata by aeroplane for his last rites.
The general secretary of Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) named Ashok Dubey had reportedly reached out to the makers of Sanjib's show, Dr Aarambhi. He had approached Malhar Creations, which is the producer of the show, and had requested financial support for Sanjib's family. He had stressed the fact that the production houses had a responsibility towards the workers, especially when they travelled. Ravindra Suri, who is a Junior Artist's supplier, had also given assurance to the federation that all assistance would be given to Sanjib's family.
Sanjib's sudden death has raised eyebrows related to the demanding schedules of TV and movie workers. The general secretary of FWICE, in collaboration with Sony and the NGO Doctor For You, has been conducting varied health camps. In these screening camps located at shooting sets, ambulances are stationed at movie locations. Workers' blood pressure is monitored, along with basic medication being given with medical advice.
Speaking about Sanjib, he was elected to the position of junior artists' committee post after he won the union elections. While the exact cause of Sanjib's sudden death has not been found, there has been no data related to how much compensation his bereaved family received.
