A former neighbour described Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen as kind and peaceful, even as a police investigation into their dispute continued.

“They were super nice and sweet, they were nice, pleasant, good neighbours, no disturbances.”

According to Us Weekly, a spokesperson from the Draper City Police Department confirmed on March 16, 2026, that there was an open domestic assault investigation involving both Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen. The spokesperson revealed:
“Allegations have been made in both directions.”
This update came just days before Taylor Frankie Paul’s appearance as the lead on season 22 of The Bachelorette, set to premiere on March 22, 2026. At the same time, filming for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 was reportedly stopped after an alleged incident involving the two took place. Taylor Frankie Paul spoke about the situation during a press dinner in New York City on March 17, 2026, and spoke about her role as a mother and stood firm on it. She revealed:
“There’s more to the context to everything and it’s unfortunate. It’s been hard. And it sucks to be in this position. The mother that I am, that is something I will always stand my ground on. I believe that I am a good mother and I have always treated my kids very well.”
