Ever since Savannah Chrisley revealed that her fiancé, Jason Galanis, is 'much older' than her, netizens have been searching for his age. She has been tight-lipped about her baby daddy, referring to him as 'J,' likely to spare him the attention and intense scrutiny that come with being associated with a public figure. However, TMZ claimed to have identified 'J' as Jason Galantis, and other reports later revealed the age gap between him and Savannah.
Savannah Chrisley, who is preparing for two major life changes now, was born on August 11, 1997, and is 29 years old as of 2026. Her fiancé, Jason Galantis' exact date of birth is not known, but Parade reported him to be 56 years old. It makes him 27 years her senior, which is considered quite a big age gap among the general public.
However, among celebrities, an age difference of two or more decades between partners has become quite normal these days. Beyond Savannah's age difference with her fiancé, his complicated past has drawn a lot of attention. It includes a federal securities-fraud conviction and a prison sentence, which overlapped with the jail time of Savannah Chrisley's father, Todd Chrisley. Notably, Jason is just one year younger than Todd, 57.
Savannah Chrisley's new fiancé, Jason Galanis, and her father, Todd Chrisley, reportedly served time together in the same prison. According to Page Six, they were detained at Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola, Florida, from January to August 2023. Jason was caught up in two schemes, including defrauding a Native American tribe and some investors out of tens of millions of dollars.
Jason was sentenced to more than 14 years in prison in September 2020 for the securities fraud schemes. The judge also ordered Savannah's baby daddy to pay back USD 80 million in proceeds and pay an equal amount in restitution. As for Savannah's father, Todd Chrisley, he was in jail after being convicted of federal bank fraud, wire fraud, tax evasion, and conspiracy.
Federal prosecutors accused Todd and his wife, Julie Chrisley, of conspiring to defraud community banks in Atlanta out of more than USD 30 million. They were accused of submitting false bank statements, audit statements, and fake personal loan documents to carry out the fraudulent activities.
In November 2022, Todd was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison and reported to Florida's Federal Prison Camp in Pensacola in January 2023. However, President Trump pardoned both Todd and Jason. Reality TV star Todd was pardoned in May 2025, while Jason's sentence was commuted two months earlier, in March.
Savannah’s fiancé previously worked with Hunter Biden, the son of former US President Joe Biden, and Hunter's business associate Devon Archer on investment ventures.
