However, it was contestant Kushal Tandon who stole the spotlight. A few days back, Alliance fame Vriddhi Patwa slammed him and called him a 'sexist' and 'misogynist.' Amid that, Niti Taylor, who was also part of the show, backed Kushal and shared that he was a bit misunderstood.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Niti Taylor opened up about the 'crybaby' tag that she was given for being too emotional during the game. The Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan star shared that she was absolutely okay with people calling her a 'crybaby' rather than a 'backstabber' or 'betrayer'. She said:
"I am so happy to be known as a crybaby and not a backstabber and betrayer. I was honest, I was vulnerable, and I was me. This is me. Yes, I did feel too much emotion, and I did cry. But that’s okay. Now you want to call that a crybaby or whatever. I don’t really care if you give me tags."
In the same interview, Niti defended her fellow contestant Kushal Tandon as, according to her, the Beyhadh actor also was a bit misunderstood due to his personality. She explained that Kushal is not that bad at heart and called him a nice and sweet person. In her words:
"He just speaks a lot and too much, and that is fine. I think he is a little misunderstood person. If you get to know him, he is not bad at heart at all. He is a very nice and sweet person."
After her elimination from the show, Alliance, Vriddhi sat for an interview with Free Press Journal. The influencer accused Kushal of being a 'sexist', 'misogynistic', 'arrogant', and deliberately provoking her throughout her time in the show. Vriddhi added that Kushal was quite rude to girls. She was quoted as saying:
"He is sexist. He is everything - misogynistic too. He is all of that. I don’t even know how to explain it. He gets completely rattled by confident people. Whenever girls talk to him, he’ll publicly say, ‘I don’t want to talk to this girl,’ and then walk out. First, he pokes that person, and then says, ‘I want to walk out.’ He was constantly instigating me as well."
Vriddhi slammed Kushal for being overly proud. Recalling a past argument, Vriddhi said, "We even argued during a task because he was really rude to me. At least I answered the questions and took the risk. He didn’t even try. He doesn’t try, he doesn’t perform, and yet he acts as if everyone should bow down to him. Why should they? What has he actually won through? I genuinely don’t know what pride and arrogance he is living with. And now I genuinely want to see what he actually achieves in life that makes him carry himself with so much swagger."
The influencer claimed that Kushal mocked the other contestants about their earnings. According to Vriddhi, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai actor boasted about his earnings and made fun of other contestants’ pay cheques. She said, "He said, ‘I’m getting Rs. 50 lakh a week. You all can worry about yourselves.’ I was like, ‘Kushal, what do you want me to do? Whether you’re getting Rs. 50 lakh or Rs. 5 lakh, what am I supposed to do with that information?’ First of all, if you really are getting that amount, is there any need to announce it to everyone? Only someone who isn’t actually earning Rs. 50 lakh would go around making such announcements."
