Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, Prateek, has announced his intention to divorce his wife, Aparna. He has called her 'selfish'.
In a surprising turn of events, Samajwadi Party leader, Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, Prateek Yadav, announced that he will soon divorce his wife, Aparna Yadav, who is a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader. Prateek a while back took to his Instagram handle to make the announcement and it has led to widespread discussion on the social media related to the same. Prateek framed a strong-worded message against Aparna and accused her of being selfish and destroying his family life.
Mulayam Singh Yadav's son, Prateek Yadav's strong claims against Aparna has drawn a lot of attention. This is because he is the son of the late Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, while Aparna has her foothold in the BJP. Although earlier reports of differences between the two had surfaced, Prateek has addressed his divorce for the first time. He shared a snap of Aparna, calling her selfish; he blamed her for destroying his life and revealed he did not see a soul like her. In his words:
"I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible. She ruined my family ties. All she wants to become is famous and influential. Right now, i am very bad mental health condition and she doesn't bother. Because it's only herself she bothers about. I have never seen such a bad soul, and i was unfortunate to get married to her."
Prateek's followers lauded his decision, advised him to stay strong and a user wrote, "Best wishes for your life ahead, you are a very solid personality. Have patience.. everything will be alright soon." A user wrote, "Please decide carefully brother." A user advising Prateek penned, "A lot of respect for you, but personal issues should not have been posted on social media since you are politically connected." A user also wrote, "Family issues should not be discussed on Instagram. Do whatever you want to do behind the doors, not publicly."
It was in 2011 when Prateek and Aparna got engaged, and in 2012, both of them got married. It was one of the most high-profile weddings of Uttar Pradesh, according to a report by the DNA. There were many big celebrities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan along with Anil Ambani who had attended the wedding. The report mentioned that it was in 2001 that Prateek and Aparna's relationship started after he had expressed his feelings for her. Prateek had got hold of Aparna's email id at a birthday party, and the report further revealed that both of them were in a relationship for ten years before they decided to get married. The report also mentioned that Prateek and Aparna had known one another since school days.
Prateek reportedly met Aparna back at a birthday party in 2001 when they were in high school. They used to stay in touch via Yahoo Messenger, which then led to letters and also phone calls. The marriage of Prateek and Aparna saw political divergence as she joined the BJP back in 2022. Prateek, on the other hand, alleged that her move has destroyed his family ties. Prateek and Aparna are blessed with a daughter.
At one end, Prateek's wife, Aparna, has been very active in the public eye and has also contested for elections in the past. Prateek on the other hand has always been someone who stepped away from politics. For the unversed, he is the stepbrother of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav. Prateek is mostly into business and reportedly is known for leading a high prolific lifestyle. Prateek has always been in the limelight due to the luxury cars that he owns. He is the son of late Mulayam Singh Yadav and his second wife, Sadhna Gupta. It is interesting to note that Prateek's wife, Aparna, has not yet reacted to the strong claims made by her husband. In fact, she shared a political story on her Instagram Stories section recently.
As per an India Today report, Prateek Yadav has done an MBA from Leeds University, located in the United Kingdom. He is also the founder of Iron Core Fit, which is a high-end gym located in Lucknow and is known for being involved in animal rights via his Jeevaashraya Foundation. Prateek has donned many hats of entrepreneurial roles that have extended beyond politics. His professional identity includes being a real estate developer, fitness entrepreneur and having a love for animals. He often showcases his social work on social media.
Prateek, when he was a kid in Dehradun, had pneumonia due to which he had to take medical steroids. Reportedly, his weight shot up tp 103 kg by the age of 11. It is said his dad had challenged him to lose all the weight and then Prateek transformed himself and reduced 67 kg.
