In a recent interview, Malti Chahar opened up about her dating buzz with 'Bigg Boss 19' contestant, Amaal Mallik.
Bigg Boss 19 is all set to pull down the curtains. For the unversed, the grand finale is scheduled to premiere on December 7, 2025. Actor and filmmaker, Malti Chahar, the sister of Indian cricketer, Deepak Chahar, is the latest contestant of Bigg Boss 19 who got evicted from the show ahead of its finale. In a recent interview, Malti addressed the dating buzz surrounding her and music composer, Amaal Mallik, who is currently inside the house.
On December 4, 2025, Malti Chahar got eliminated from the show, Bigg Boss 19. It was a mid-week eviction, and Malti had to leave the game show as she got less amount of votes. She joined the show as the second wild card contestant. For the uninitiated, Shehbaz Badesha was the first wild card contestant, and he too got evicted during the recent Weekend Ka Vaar.
Just before Malti’s eviction, there was an activity task for the six contestants, including Gaurav Khanna, Farrhana Bhatt, Pranit More, Tanya Mittal, and Amaal Mallik. The housemates were instructed by 'Bigg Boss' to place their photos into a fire pit. Among the six contestants, everyone’s picture after being placed into the fire pit turned green, indicating they are safe, except Malti. When she placed her picture into the pit, it turned red.
Soon after her eviction from Bigg Boss 19, Malti Chahar sat down for an interview with Pinkvilla. She opened up about the dating buzz surrounding her and Amaal Mallik. There were rumours that the duo was dating before entering the show. However, Malti quashed the dating rumours and shared that she and Amaal had met just 3 months before the show started. Evicted BB 19 contestant highlighted that she needs time to know a person before dating, and thus, the rumours were false. She mentioned that both she and Amaal Mallik used to travel a lot before the show started. She was quoted as saying:
"Yaar, mai show me bhi yahi bol rahi thi ki mai, Amaal se, jab ye show shuru hua usse bas teen mahine pehle hi mili hoon. Toh mai girlfriend kaise ban sakti hoon? Itna time hi nahi mila. Itna toh hum jaante pehchante hai insaan ko uske baad hum date karte hai, is zamane me. Aapka pata nahi, mai toh aisehi karti hoon. So jaanne pehchanne wala hi phase tha. Girlfriend toh nahi thi mai uski. Aur wo bhi travel kar raha tha, mai bhi travel kar rahi thi."
In the same interview, Malti shared that she didn’t want to point out anything on the show regarding her past connection with Amaal Mallik. She expressed that she got angry when Amaal told the other contestants that he didn’t know Malti and that they had met before the show. Malti shared that it was Shehbaz Badesha, from whom she got to know that the music composer had been saying this. After knowing this, she went to Amaal. However, his body language irked her. She was quoted as saying:
"Toh jo maine statement di hai wo isliye nahi di hai ki mai kuch hint karna chah rahi thi. Mujhe pata bhi nahi tha ki Amaal aisa kar raha hai, aisa bol raha hai. Wo toh Shehbaz ne bola toh mujhe realise hua ki Amaal aisa kar raha hai, aur jab maine usse jake pucha toh uski body language se mujhe laga ki ye aisa kar raha hai toh mujhe ghussa aagaya tu aisa kyu kar raha hai."
Further in the interview, Malti Chahar shared that she wants Amaal to speak the truth about their past connection. She claimed that the music composer feared spilling the truth and thus the media should question him regarding their past connection. Malti shared that she was very confident and could boldly say that she knew Amaal before Bigg Boss 19 started. She was quoted as saying:
"Agar tu jaanta hai toh tu bol na jaanta hai. Aisa kuch hai bhi nahi ki aap hide karo. Par usko kuch toh tha, wo darta tha, ye sahi sawal uske liye hai, mere liye galat sawal hai kyuki mai nahi darti thi. Ab wo kyu dar raha hai usko pata hoga. Aap usse puchiye. Mai toh bohot confident thi toh mai galat insan hu ye sawal puchne ke liye."
