Gaga and Polansky reportedly took time off work over the summer to focus on their baby. A few days ago, news outlets broke the story after the couple was seen taking a stroll with the newborn. However, they have not yet revealed the baby's name or gender.
Lady Gaga (real name Stefani Germanotta) has been dealing with a lot of health woes, and her declining health made it difficult for her to embrace motherhood. The pop sensation has been yearning to become a mother and has been trying for a baby since 2024. A source close to the actress spoke about the same and told Page Six:
“Stefani’s had a hard road to travel physically. There have been moments of giddiness and moments of despair. It’s a real tale of hard times, both physical and emotional, en route to this happy ending. She’s had severe hip issues and a heap of other physical ailments, alongside everything she puts her body through when performing.”
Lady Gaga has always wanted to be a mom, and she has often spoken about it in interviews. During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in October 2025, Gaga famously stated, “What I really want is to be a mom. That’s my next starring role, I hope.” A few days back, the pop sensation was spotted with a baby, but it’s still not known whether Gaga’s baby was born via a surrogate.
Gaga wanted to make her lifelong wish of motherhood a reality and thought she would go for it even without a man by her side. A source close to the Born This Way singer told RadarOnline that Gaga told her friends that she was seriously considering motherhood via adoption or surrogacy.
Lady Gaga has been dealing with many health issues. For those who don't know, Gaga suffers from a condition called fibromyalgia, which affects over 5 million people in America alone. Gaga’s battle with the disease kept her from living a normal life for years. In 2018, the singer first opened up about her struggles.
In a statement, she revealed that she had been suffering from fibromyalgia and reflected on how it was keeping her from living a normal life. She was quoted as saying:
"I use the word 'suffer' not only because trauma and chronic pain have changed my life, but because they are keeping me from living a normal life."
In 2013, Gaga had surgery for a broken hip and told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she had a tear on the inside of her joint and a huge break. The surgeon warned Gaga about the crucial situation and asked her to stop performing. Elaborating on the same, she recalled:
“The surgeon told me that if I had done another show, I might have needed a full hip replacement. I would have been out at least a year, maybe longer.”
