As per September 11, 2026 (ET) reports, Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, quietly embraced parenthood and are currently spending quality time in Northern California.
Since Gaga's entire pregnancy and childbirth were kept so hush-hush, many wondered if she had opted for surrogacy. Notably, the Poker Face singer had previously weighed in on options like surrogacy and adoption too. She was ready to take any path to fulfill her desire for motherhood. Her past comments regarding it are in focus amid the arrival of her little angel.
Lady Gaga has found her forever in Michael Polansky, but she had to go through several heartbreaks to get there. From her broken engagements with Taylor Kinney in 2016 and Christian Carino in February 2019 to a short-lived romance with Dan Horton in October 2020, Gaga hadn't been very lucky in love until she met Michael. Back in 2020, after three failed romances, she allegedly worried about ending up alone and being unable to start a family.
To make her lifelong wish of motherhood a reality, Lady Gaga allegedly thought that she would go for it even if she had no man by her side. A source close to the Born This Way singer told RadarOnline that Gaga told her friends that she was seriously considering motherhood via adoption or surrogacy. Her consideration almost changed into conviction when she fell off stage while performing in Las Vegas.
According to the source, Lady Gaga had a sudden realization while being hospitalized that it's now or never for her, as life is very unpredictable. While getting her X-rays done, she was allegedly overcome with emotions, and her desire to start her own family grew stronger. Claiming that Lady Gaga wanted to pass on her legacy to her child, the source stated:
"She had an epiphany in the hospital, after she and a fan fell off stage in Las Vegas. She got very emotional getting her whole body X-rayed. She has everything she wants in the world, but she's missing someone to leave her legacy to. She comes from a strong family, and that's always been something she wants."
Lady Gaga, 40 and Michael Polansky, 42 went MIA following the end of her Mayhem Ball world tour in April 2026. Recently, an insider told the Daily Mail that people close to the singer believe she and her lover may have slipped away for a private wedding and honeymoon. However, just a couple of days later, news broke that they had become parents- which explains why they had been out of touch for the past few months.
Notably, no information has been released regarding the baby, including its name, gender, or exact date of birth. Although the Die With A Smile singer made sure to keep her life update under wraps until her baby was born, she dropped a major hint about it a few months ago, in November 2025, by calling motherhood her "next starring role" on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
