Add BollywoodShaadis on GoogleLady Gaga is one of the most celebrated singers, who needs no introduction. The gorgeous singer is currently in the best phase of her life, as she welcomed her first child with her fiancé, Michael Polansky. No further details about Gaga and Polansky's newborn are known, including the time of birth and gender. However, Page Six recently released some photos of Lady Gaga along with her fiancé and newborn.
In the photos, the new mom was seen holding her baby close to her heart as she strolled down California roads. Lady Gaga has always been vocal about her wish to become a mother, and in the months before the news about her becoming a mom, she also talked about her 'next starring role': motherhood. Amid the same, let's look at a time, when Lady Gaga bared her heart out and talked about a traumatic experience from the early days of her career, when she was left pregnant after a sexual assault.
In 2021, Lady Gaga, while speaking on The Me You Can't See, revealed her deeply traumatic experience of a sexual assault that she experienced when she was just 19 years old. It was early in her career, and Lady Gaga was asked by a male music producer to 'take off her clothes' or else they would 'burn all her music'.
Lady Gaga recalled saying 'no' and then eventually freezing as the threats came her way. Lady Gaga never revealed who the producer was, and, in the same show, the singer mentioned that in her life, she never wanted to face that person ever again.
The singer, during the same conversation, revealed that her breakdown came years later and was still ongoing when she received the Oscar back in 2019. Lady Gaga revealed it all began with her feeling pain and acute numbness. She was hospitalised and eventually was sent to a psychiatrist.
The singer was surprised by this, and she first felt the pain and numbness, following which she remained sick for weeks. After the assault, Lady Gaga was held in a studio for months, where the abuse continued, resulting in her pregnancy. When she later became ill from the continuous abuse, she fell sick and was dropped off at a corner of her parents' house.
During the same conversation on The Me You Can't See, she revealed that this was the same pain that she felt when she 'dropped off pregnant' in a corner outside her parents' house because she was sick and vomiting. Recalling the painful experience, Lady Gaga shared:
"I [couldn't] feel my own body. First I felt full-on pain, then I felt numb, and then I was sick for weeks after. I realised that it was the same pain that I felt when the person who raped me dropped me off pregnant on a corner, at my parents' house, because I was vomiting and sick. Because I had been being abused, and I was locked away in a studio for months."
Lady Gaga talked about her traumatic experience in several of her interviews, beginning in 2014, when she revealed the horrific experience on The Howard Stern Show. The singer, while speaking on The Me You Can't See, revealed that she underwent several MRIs and other tests, but the reports revealed nothing. She had a psychotic break for a couple of years, and she was not the same girl anymore.
Lady Gaga described that 'the way that I (she) feel when I feel pain was how I felt after I was r*ped.' It took years for Lady Gaga to recover; however, she also admitted that only a trigger could spiral her back into feeling the physical and emotional pain. After years of effort, the singer learned how to pull herself out of it.
