Kyrsten Sinema, according to a report by PEOPLE, has admitted to having an affair with her ex-bodyguard, Matthew Ammel. Matthew's ex-wife, Heather Ameel, has filed a lawsuit. The report revealed that Kyrsten Sinema had taken a sworn declaration and confessed that her relationship with Matthew was 'romantic and intimate'. This was back in May 2024. "On May 27, 2024, while Mr. Ammel was on a security detail for me in Sonoma, CA, we were physically intimate for the first time. Thereafter, we were physically intimate in mid-June in New York City, NY, in mid-July in Washington, DC, in late-August in Aspen, CO, in lateSeptember in Washington, DC, and in early-October in Phoenix, AZ.”
For those who do not know, Matthew Ammel's ex-wife, Heather Ameel, sued Kyrsten Sinema in September 2025. Matthew and his ex-wife, Heather, used to live in North Carolina, and under the state's civil law, a spouse can sue a third party for damages arising from the breakdown of the marriage. The law allows jilted spouses to kind of take legal action against a third person for interference in the marriage.
Matthew Ammel's ex-wife, Heather Ameel, according to the report, claimed USD 75,000 in damages. The lawsuit had also accused Kyrsten of engaging in repeated episodes of sexual intercourse while Matthew was married to Heather. She had also accused Kyrsten of wilfully and intentionally deceiving and seducing her husband despite knowing that he was a father to three kids.
