Kim Kardashian came to the Principality to support her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton.
After staying low-key for a while, Kim Kardashian has once again found herself in the spotlight for an awkward interaction with Formula 1 broadcaster, Martin Brundle at the Monaco Grand Prix. The Reality star arrived at the prestigious race weekend to reportedly support her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton. But a short exchange with Martin Brundle had quickly become one of the most-talked-about moments of the event.
It all started when Martin Bundle went ahead with his famous pre-race grid walk. When he went ahead to talk with celebrities, drivers and team personnel before the race, he came across Kim Kardashian. In turn, Martin approached her and her sister, Khloe Kardashian, to introduce himself. Alongside that he asked, "How are you today?" But Kim did not engage with the broadcaster.
According to the footage of the incident shared online, Kim briefly looked in Martin's direction before turning back to her sister. Soon, the members of her entourage surrounded her, and Martin tried to ask another question. He asked if she was enjoying Formula 1. But, once again, he got no response. After the awkward silence, he joked on camera, "Okay, Kim and Khloe, so we are not talking today."
When the video footage of the incident went viral, many F1 fans and social media users began to call out Kim's behaviour. Many viewers called it an uncomfortable and disrespectful moment. One fan wrote, "Kim Kardashian and anyone on the grid who thinks that they are bigger than the sport they are visiting, then they should be banned from ever being on the grid again." Another user penned, "How do they think they are? Lots of money and no class!" However, other fans defended the situation, arguing that she might not know him. One fan commented, "To be fair, Kim wouldn't have a clue who Martin is, so it's not her fault."
