Now, a viral Reddit thread claimed that Jay had cheated on Mahhi with a 20-year younger woman named Alisha Shaikh. The thread also posted a picture of Jay with an unknown woman, after which an array of discussions regarding Jay and Mahhi started on the platform.
After announcing her divorce from Jay, Mahhi Vij took to her Instagram stories and shared a cryptic note on 'being a good person'. Amid the divorce announcement, she changed her Insta bio to 'Fighter'. The cryptic note mentioned that a person should never stop being good. The note shared by Mahhi can be read as:
"Be the reason why people believe in beautiful souls, kind hearts, and good energy never stop being a good person."
Soon after Mahhi’s cryptic posts made rounds on social media, there were a lot of speculative theories on the couple’s divorce. Soon, Mahhi took a jibe at the media for posting stories about her and Jay’s divorce. She took to her Instagram stories and posted a happy picture of herself along with her estranged husband, Jay Bhanushali. Along with the picture, she mentioned that her Insta stories were not for Jay, and the media can stoop to any level to prove their point with their false narratives.
Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij tied the knot in 2010 and kept it a secret until Mahhi Vij was spotted sporting a mangalsutra at a party. After dating for three months, Jay proposed to Mahhi on December 31, 2009. On November 11, 2011, the couple confirmed their marriage. Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali welcomed their first child, Tara, through IVF. They are also foster parents to Khushi and Rajveer. After 16 years of marital bliss, Jay and Mahi announced their split and revealed they would co-parent their children. The couple also highlighted that there was no villain in their story.
