Amid the release of 'Gram Chikitsalay,' Akansha Ranjan opened up about how her parents had reacted to the news that she was planning to freeze her eggs.

Amid this, the actress opened up about one of the biggest decisions she has made in her personal life. Opening up about choosing to freeze her eggs at 32, she revealed why it was the right step for her future. Akansha also claimed that it was her parents' support that made her egg freezing journey easier.
During a recent interview, Akansha Ranjan got candid about how her parents reacted to her decision to freeze her eggs. She revealed that she never had to fight for approval or spend a lot of time trying to convince her parents. Instead, they had always respected the decisions that she made for herself. Akansha said:
"I think I am at that age where my parents fully trust my judgement and I don't really have to convince them for one thing or the other."
Akansha Ranjan explained that her parents did not shy away from trying to understand her perspective and gave her the space to make the choice she thought would be best for her future. This is what gave her the confidence to go through the whole process.
During the same interview, Akansha Ranjan added that her father had approached the subject with curiosity. He wanted to understand not only the medical but also the personal aspects that led the Gram Chikitsalay actress to her decision to freeze her eggs. Akansha was quoted as saying:
“For my dad, it was more about understanding it because he doesn't come from that school of thought. Obviously, he's also not a woman, so he doesn't understand the intricacies of our bodies and biological clocks.”
In addition to her father, Akansha also opened up about the way that her mom reacted when she first told her about her decision to freeze her eggs. She claimed that her mother's first concern was actually related to the medical procedure itself. Like most parents, she was worried about her daughter's well-being, but understood once Akansha properly explained everything to her. In fact, she even supported and encouraged the actress once she understood the actress's reasoning. In her words:
“My mother was like, ‘Beta, surgery kyun karni hai? She was a little worried in the beginning. But when I explained what was going on in my head and why I was considering it, she understood immediately.”
According to Akansha, the conversations that she had with her parents played a huge role in strengthening her confidence to go ahead with her egg freezing journey. She said that both her father and mother stood by her after understanding her perspective. Her mother said that she trusts her and that she should do it. Her father was also super supportive and told her, “I don't know exactly what you're doing, but I'm proud of you.”
Looking back at the journey, Akansha believes that it was the support that she received from her family that made the process more smoother and less stressful. She gushed about how her mom and dad had a lot of faith in her and admitted that she genuinely thinks it was the right and smart decision to take.
